Former MasterChef Australia contestant Chris Badenoch will take on Iron Chef Australia.
The judges and challengers of Iron Chef Australia have now been revealed -- and the competition will be fierce.
A primary source of trouble will come in the form of Chris Badenoch, a contestant on the inaugural season of MasterChef Australia, who was lauded as a potential victor but ended up taking third place.
Grant Denyer has already been announced as the host of Iron Chef Australia, with Australian Iron Chefs Neil Perry, Guy Grossi and Guillaume Brahimi.
Perry, Grossi and Brahimi will also go one on one with head chefs from around the nation, including Dan Hong (Lotus Bar, Sydney), Sacha Meier (Ba Ba Lu Restaurant, Victoria), Judyta Slupnicki (Phore Seasons, Adelaide), Matt Stone (Greenhouse Restaurant, Perth) and Herb Faust (Scotch College, Perth.)
As in the original format, each challenger will compete against one of the Iron Chefs to create a four-course meal of their own choosing. The catch? A "secret ingredient" must be incorporated into each dish, and there is exactly one hour on the clock.
Food critics Leo Schofield, Larissa Dubecki and Simon Thomsen will make up the panel of judges that decide whether the challenger or the Iron Chef is the winner.
Also taking part in the dinner party death match is Mark Dacascos as the chairman and Richard Cornish as commentator.
Iron Chef Australia is expected to air in mid-October on Seven.

Wait what? Is it just me or wasn't the whole appeal of Iron Chef based on the hilariously bad voice-overs?
