CW has announced it is giving the "back nine" episode order to freshman sitcom The Game and family drama 7th Heaven. This marks the first full-season pickups of the net's first full season.
The Game has retained 95 percent of its Girlfriends lead-in among women 18 to 34, says the network. The Girlfriends spin-off centers on the lives and friendships of football wives.
The religious family drama 7th Heaven is now in its 11th season. The show was headed for cancellation at the end of last season, when the WB and UPN were merging, but a last minute reprieve gave the show new life on the new network.
Last week, CW flipped its Sunday and Monday night schedules, switching the comedy block of Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends, and The Game to Monday and putting 7th Heaven and Runaway on Sunday nights. This past Tuesday, Runaway was canceled.
The CW is still mum about another UPN show that was given only a partial season order, Veronica Mars. The series has climbed up a few notches in the ratings this season, scoring its best-ever showing in women 18 to 34.

Veronica Mars is one of the best shows on television. It definitely deserves a full season and a new season next year. That was one of my fears when UPN and the WB merged that Veronica Mars and Supernatural might not make the cut. They are the only shows on the CW worth watching, well those and Reba. I'm glad that they both made the cut and they had better continue on!!

Wait, 7th Heaven is still alive? OMG, 11 seasons, 397 (give or take 100)different kids wandering in and out of this series and it's still on the air? Don't get me wrong, I used to watch it, but what 'new' stories can they have?

Reba - PUHLEASE bring it back. They say that "Reba" doesn't fit with the CW target audience. Um, if you're bringing back 7th Heaven, I'd think they have the same target audience as Reba. Plus, that one has only had 5 full seasons, so it could go 6 more if they're keeping 7th for 11, why not Reba?

Great news, 7th Heaven is a great show with a wonderful cast, that actually has some family values which is thoroughly missing on tv now a days.
I actually like Veronica Mars season 3 better than season 2... It's less teenage melodrama and more intellegent plot driven episodes. 7th Heaven should have stayed cancelled. Someone tell me why networks don't use Saturday night? I know that I could record more good shows if they would just space them out a little bit. It's the one night that no one is fighting for... CW could steal it easily with a sci-fi night or something for all the teenagers who don't go out or get a date...
It would be the BIGGEST mistake for CW to not order the back nine of Veronica Mars. It's the one show the CW has that is gaining more ratings than what it used to get. I know people in TV are stupid... but they can't all be complete morons.
ya im happy too for the most part. =) i watch One Tree Hill Gilmore Girls Supernatural Smallville and Veronica Mars mostly ^_~ They rock! T______T
I hope they also keep Smallville and One Tree Hill, they're the only reasons why I watch this network.

I've never given 7th heaven a chance and nor do I plan on it because it's just so stupid and they act too predictable. I only care about Gilmore Girls and Supernatural and I don't even care that much anymore if they get full seasons or not
Supernatural had a 22 episode order before the season started. It doesn't need to be given a full season order. It already has one. :) Between that and Veronica, those are really the only two series worth saving. They'll keep ANTM of course, but they could chuck the rest for all I care.

Yes, The Game stays personally I hope Reba doesnt get picked up like the Runaway. Everwood gets cancelled...7th Heaven drags on. I hope All Of Us gets a full season order too. Veronica Mars is doing fine nothing else on Tues at 9 will get my attention but this.

Pick up V-Mars for the full season. Other than that, Supernatural and Smallville I don't watch anything on The CW any more anyway.
My Tuesday TV viewing would be killed if VM doesn't get a full season.

Reba will return. There is no way it won't. Also guys, Everwood was a great show, one of my top 5 personal favorites of the 4 seasons it air. But I'm glad it eneded perfectly. We should be happy that it eneded the way it did rather then having the storyline stretched out. Also, even though I was upset about the Everwood cancellation I gave Runaway a chance and it was a really good show. I am happy that The Game got a full season, can't say I care much for 7th Heaven. And Veronica Mars will get picked up for a full season, don't worry, its ratings have greatly improved from last season.
THIS IS BS, there still keeping REBA from a full season, for what, the show brings in the ratings, when she was on Wed. nights she had ratings, on Thursdays night she had ratings and on Friday she had ratings, all the black comedies couldn't keep the ratings so you had to move em to Monday, if the shows were any good, they should be making the ratings regardless there time/schedule.... Makes no sense to keep a high rating show off the air and keep the worthless ones....makes no sense to me at all!!! CW SUCKS!!!
As long as Veronica Mars gets a pick up, i'll be happy. Last year I was getting bored with Smallville, but now with Justin Hartley as Oliver Queen, its interesting again! I hope it gets picked up too.
I'm not happy for 7th Heaven & The Game. When will be Reba back if the Game got a full season??? And I still hoped that if the CW see how poor ratings 7th Heaven & Runaway have they will bring back my sweet Everwood!!!

Do you think they'd stay quiet about Veronica Mars just so that people still fear for it and keep promoting it in their social circles? I mean it is growing so I feel they'll keep it (so do the writers apparently), do you think this is just a way to keep people pushing for it?

Yes, it is a decent show - Yes, Veronica Mars is a great show.
Veronica, on the other hand, hasn't really captured the magic it had in seasons 1 or 2 - YET. I know that they will get back up to speed, but I hope the whole college-rapist storyline doesn't take over the entire season.
If the CW had kept Related and paired that as a 3 show night with GG & VM then they would have a lock on 18-34 women & 34-50 couples... So, CW - pick up Veronica Mars. It is so much better than 'Deal or No Deal'!moreless
