FXX Renews Man Seeking Woman for Season 3

I just let out a huge sigh of relief that leveled downtown Portland as if a cat-5 tornado barreled through town. FXX has ordered a third season of its surreal comedy Man Seeking Woman, thank Trakanon. The 10-episode Season 3 will debut in 2017, likely in January just like the previous two seasons.

The decision pulls Man Seeking Woman out of the bubble, where it was after admittedly light ratings. According to FXX, it only averaged 399,000 viewers in Live+7 numbers, but the good news is that figure was up from the previous season, a rare feat in this day and age. Being on FXX, which many people still don't know if they have in their cable packages yet, doesn't help, but trust me, this is a show you want to find and binge. It's also on Hulu if you have access to that.

Man Seeking Woman stars Jay Baruchel as Josh Greenburg, a 20-something single man exploring the dangerous world of dating and relationships. His neurotic tendencies and the ridiculous concepts of courtship are hyper-exaggerated and brought to life in metaphorical terms for a sharp and incisive look into love and everything that leads up to it. Eric Andre and Britt Lower also star.

Man Seeking Woman Season 3 renewal! It's time to daaaaaaance! *Sick dad bass line from Mr. Greenburg*

Pleasantly surprised that men will be seeking more women in the future!

Yep, that's a relief! I wonder why it took them so long to make a decision. This is definitely one of my favorite comedies, and it's great to know that viewership actually went up a bit this season. Can't wait for S3!

Great news! One of my favorite shows, everything else look so dull and uninspired in comparison. You just made my evening!

The pilot was enough for me thanks - it was ridiculous but in a bad way - plus Jay Baruchel has an infuriatingly annoying voice - he can't carry a show (Undeclared anyone?)

Man seeking woman. The title reeks of desperation. It was the woman that seek me. It was a disaster anyway. She wanted to have a child right away and i was like can we just wait a couple of years and enjoy our freedom for a while? She left me and got pregnant with another man. A few years later he went out to buy a pack of cigarettes and never came back. Wonderful world right?
I'm not actively seeking a partner but if i incidentally meet the right one i'm open to a relationship. I just refuse to play the dating game anymore. It sucks. Dating sites? That's not really my style. O, man.. I'm a cynical piece of shit. What happened to me? Why am i single and haven't got a care in the world? How's that even possible? Why am i not desperate? I desperately want to be desperate like everybody else. What am i doing wrong? It's a mystery.
If i remember correctly the pilot had a troll. I'm one of those people that didn't get it. Adolf Hitler jokes are funny? Favorite quote "Tinder is like Facebook, but it's just, like, straight to smashing." Tinder is for people who are desperate. I have snap chat to have fun with. "Life's more fun when you live in the moment!!" That's a little vague but it sounds less desperate ;) whatever.

I bet Tim levels Portland every week, one way or another. I'm surprised they haven't had him on Portlandia.

Anyway I guess it's good this show was renewed. I watched all of season 1 and I admired it but it's not a pleasant show to watch.

Awesome. This is by far one of the most unique comedies I've ever seen. As absurd as the situations are portrayed, they're all immediately relatable. I also love the fact that at least 1 episode a season is devoted to "Woman Seeking Man." I will say though, I felt season 2 wasn't quite as strong as season 1; the level of brilliant absurdity wasn't quite as high in season 2 (I blame a lot of it in his the Rosa arc was handled) - regardless, was still a lot fun. Looks by forward to season 3!

Great news! I certainly do enjoy this show. TV is full of ordinary run-of-the-mill comedies, but MSW is not one of them.

Great news. One of the hidden gems of TV. Glad to see it getting some love on TV.com. Clever writing and well thought out visual depictions of the some of the struggles single people face.

We have never watched this show but the commercials always come on during the other FX shows we watch and they always crack us up. My husband keeps saying we should give it a shot, so I guess knowing another season is coming makes now as good a time as any.

It starts a bit off so if you don't like first 4 eps wait. It greatly improves after that.
