Game of Thrones: There Is Now an Alternate Ending to the Mountain and the Red Viper's Duel (VIDEO)

Hey you! There are spoilers in here, so if you haven't seen the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, "The Mountain and the Viper," then turn tail and get out of here. Or proceed and ruin your life. But don't say we didn't warn you.

As the janitors of King's Landing continue to pick up the fragments of Oberyn Martell's skull, I'm still asking myself, "Did what happened at the end of 'The Mountain and the Viper' actually happen? Did the Mountain go full Gallagher on the Red Viper's head?"

But sadly, he did, and we all fell victim to another one of George R.R. Martin's "gotcha!" moments.

However, one fan isn't taking this crap anymore, and decided that things are going to end on his/her own terms. YouTuber Ozzy Man has come up with a new edit of the big fight at the end of Sunday's episode, and things turned out quite differently.

Hooray, the good guys win! Now can someone put together a video where Ned Stark escapes the chopping block and slaughters all the Lannisters way back in Season 1?

The way I see it, any ending that doesn't involve to keep killing Suzie Costello, Niobe or any other classic character played by Indira Verma is fine by me.

Oberyn kept her alive, so he's a hero to me.

Long live my legendary Viper, may you join Khal Drogo & Ned Stark in the mighty Westerosi afterlife.

BRAVO! I was shocked and dismayed after that fight, but didn't Oberyn kill The Mountain first... I mean dealt the death blow...? maybe that will save Tyrian... I will never watch this show again if he dies.

'' If you think this has a happy ending , you haven't been paying attention '' Guys , you are watching GoT , do you honestly keep thinking the '' good '' is going to defeat evil at every possible turn ? We 've got Joffrey's death which was huge . Be grateful ! i think the fight was perfect and I wouldn't have it any other way . This version looks cheesy and very Holywood , it is way worse than the original one . It is useless to have this argument over and over again , this thinks are gonna keep happening and it is a good thing

I can't watch another ending, as traumatic as the original one was: it was legendary!

Well done! I'd've been fine if you hadn't played it for laughs, but after Oberyn's awful death, we could all use a couple chuckles.
I didn't see it coming, but through the fight, I was thinking: 'Double-tap! Double-tap! Make sure the Mountain's really most sincerely DEAD!'

The stupid thing about GoT if that you have to watch knowing nothing awesome or cool will happen and the characters you like will probably die. I like to look forward to things in a show, but with how messy the writing is, why even exercise the brain power needed to think of a logical progression. If I need a "gotcha" moment, I'll watch Katie Couric's Sarah Palin interview.

Just deal with it! Life in Westeros is unfair and heroes die, far more realistic tha. After honourable Ned's death fans need to expect bad things to happen. At least the Mountain will die too and Elia is avenged.

The worst part of Oberyn's death is that he was an interesting character. But there's so much bad stuff in GoT that it's now cliche for something bad to happen to a character.

He was so awesome! I'm more upset that he died than I am about Tyrion being sentenced to death...

Oberyn was a new character in A Storm of Swords. And in a book where we have Red Wedding, Purple wedding, LF's true color being shown, battle at wall, and couple of more important death of character really powerful and almost invincible, Oberyn's death didn't mattered to me much there or you may say felt unremarkable. But somehow show made it really painful. Kudos to writer and Pedro pascal.
And yeah thanks for this alternate ending. Enjoyed it.

Why bother now? Give it 20 years or so and a network will do a redux, like just about every fucking thing else of late.

I'm still in mourning over Oberyn, but I knew it was coming. GoT is different for me in terms of good guys losing/bad guys winning. I stopped watching The Following because it seemed like at every single turn the bad guys won (sometimes in an unbelievably unrealistic fashion). When the people you're rooting for always lose it's a huge turn off - sometimes to the point of not watching anymore. GoT is different. I still have every desire to continue watching even after my heart is broken. This, to me, showcases exactly how amazing GoT actually is - as this is rare for a television show. Killing off main characters, or fan favorite characters (no matter if they were newly introduced like Oberyn) is usually a recipe for disaster but GoT pulls it off. They crush your spirits, and maim your heart, but they pull it off which takes talent and great storytelling.

Fans should know by now that Martin doesn't give happy endings at least not anytime soon, maybe the overall ending will be happy. Martin takes our favourite characters (the POV characters in the book) and subjects them to pain and misery.

Being surprised by Ned Stark's death is understandable the show was new but by now GOT fans should know the good guy never wins or if they do it comes at a cost. Despite Tyrions last name he is considered one of the good guys.

Not to say its all bad because the bad guys suffer too. Anyway season 5 we should be seeing some more Martells.

In an interview with GRRM, he said that the overall ending will be bittersweet. Don't count on happy endings.

i'm not counting on it is just said it might be possible but definitely not before than. Judging by the original title for the last book I think it will be good enough to make me happy enough.

great video great ending
I just prefer Martil to chop of The Mountain body part
as he lays on the floor
You raped her (hand number 1)
You murdered her (hand number 2)
You killed her children ( chop off 2 legs)
and then The Mountain said "I did it please have some mercy"
and Martail said "I'm fresh out" and stick a sword in his face
