When Gilmore Girls was laid to rest by The CW last year, the big question lingering in fans' minds was "What were the final four words Amy Sherman-Palladino had in mind for the series' finale?" But the next big question was, "What now?"--specifically intended for its charming lead Lauren Graham.
Wonder no more. Lauren Graham has signed a deal with ABC to star in and produce a new half-hour comedy from Will & Grace writer Alex Herschlag, according to Variety. Graham will play a self-help specialist who helps other women lower their stress levels, but she finds herself in need of some help after her boyfriend breaks up with her.
Graham has been heavily sought after since leaving Gilmore Girls, even signing a talent deal with NBC in September of last year. However, nothing has come of the deal (unless she's about to become leader of Jay Leno's in-house band).
For those who can't wait to see Graham on the small screen, she can be stalked next spring when she takes on Guys and Dolls on Broadway.

WOO! go lauren!
she's amazing
I can't wait to see her, I love pretty much all she does :D
Awesome! Can't wait to see her! She's been missed and it sounds like her new role will be fun!
Good news! I can't wait to see her again on tv!
i actually heard nothing of her since the cancellation of Gilmore Girls, so reading that she's sought after isn't convincing but sure it could be nice to see her back on tv
Yay! I'm glad she's back, I really liked Gilmore Girls, and she was a big part of why I liked it. I'll be happy to watch her in something new! :)
Interesting that she's signed a deal with ABC, that station doesn't know the good it already had with Pushing Daisies, and now they're streamlining new shows/ideas, they should've focused with the shows that did them well, even emmy-nominated, instead of signing on new deals. That probably didn't make a lick of sense, but it did in my head! No offense meant to Lauren Graham, I think she's a great actress, just ABC.
Glad to see her return
Huzzah for Lauren! I miss my Gilmore Girls. I hope this will a least partially fill the void in my soul.
brilliant
Great news! I love Lauren Graham and will be pleased to see her back on the tv screen.
This is awesome!!!I don't know what she's doing messing in Broadway though - I mean, nothing against play acting but she was really meant for a screen.
so greati love her

Awesome!! I love her. I miss her :) Is good to know that she's back
That's great news! I love her!
Interesting. I may tune in. I love Lauren Graham, but never watched Gilmore Girls. The show sounds hilarious, and i think i will watch.
That's great news for Lauren - miss the GG terribly.
can't wait for this.
I'm adding to my post below: we REALLY would not want Lauren to go with NBC...right after I posted, I saw the headline NBC MAY SCALE BACK HOURS, which included the sentence "One such option involves the potential cutting of prime-time hours--or even the dropping of an entire broadcast night." I don't think we want our girl to be involved with those budget-cutters!
I don't feel really good about the premise of the show and I think ABC is better at producing one-hour dramas than half-hour comedies. However, I am very thankful she is going with ABC over NBC because ever since Jeff Zucker took over the entertainment division, NBC has utterly destroyed their primetime schedule and the development of well-written programs. I just read an article about this. NBC, once the king of comedies, is now in 4th place. We would NOT want our beloved Lauren going there. So even though I'm mad at ABC for cancelling Dirty Sexy Money, they definitely have a better track record than NBC!
I can't wait! However, I'm not too happy with ABC right now.
Yeahh! I've missed her! I hope it goes well for her!
I miss seeing her as lorelai Gilmore-(hayden) so nuch but i 'm so happy to hear this.WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Man! I hope this lasts a lloooong time! I misse4d her!!!
A short lived show by the sound of it
I loove her! Hope this is good, I'm not a big fan of Will and Grace
Doesn't this sound like the failed show that Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander did a few years back? I thnk it was called Bob Patterson.
yay! i luuuuv her
I'm excited I have missed her.
Here's hoping it lasts more than 6 episodes...but I have NO faith in ABC after the whole Pushing Daisies thing!
I wish Lauren the best of luck, GG lasted for a long time and many of my friends liked the show (most even have all the seasons on DVD).
Heck yes! I love Lauren Graham. ABC is really looking at their options and I'm happy their trying to develop more comedy shows.
I wonder whatever happened to her and the deal she made with NBC, I hope this new shows succeeds she's very talented.
This is such great news! Totally made my day. I've been waiting to see her in a sitcom for a long time. Now what I really want is for Kate Walsh to jump aboard too, how awesome would that be!
Wow, great news. I missed her on TV.
Yay! I love Lauren Graham. She is very beautiful and talented. I can't wait to see her new show.
Great news. The show sounds quite promising.
alright sounds good. Gonna be weird not seeing her as Loreali though.
