Ever since Gilmore Girls ended its seven-season run in 2007, I've been struggling to cope with a Gilmore-free life. I miss the rapid-fire pop culture references, the Friday-night dinners, the Hep Alien gigs, and even those late-night deadlines. But now that many of the show's former stars are starting to pop up as series regulars again, I feel like I'm finally back home in Stars Hollow.
In honor of Gilmore Girls' tenth anniversary—the show premiered October 5, 2000—let's see where some of the actors are now...
Lauren Graham has gone from playing quirky single mom Lorelai Gilmore to... playing quirky single mom Sarah Braverman on Parenthood. (The characters are different, I swear!)
Scott Patterson was once curmudgeonly diner owner Luke Danes, but now he's overprotective father Michael Buchanan on The Event.
Jared Padalecki was Rory's first love, Dean Forester, but he's been he's been kicking demon ass as Sam Winchester on Supernatural for over five years now.
Milo Ventimiglia played Rory's bad-boy boyfriend Jess Mariano, then he grew out his five o'clock shadow to play Peter Petrelli on Heroes (which got canceled last year). So we don't actually know where he is now, but maybe we'll see him again soon?
Matt Czuchry was once Rory's super-rich boyfriend Logan Huntzberger... and now he's super-arrogant lawyer Cary Agos on The Good Wife.
Melissa McCarthy was Lorelai's best friend and business partner Sookie St. James, and now she's lookin'-for-love schoolteacher Molly Flynn on Mike & Molly.
Todd Lowe started off as Lane Kim's bandmate-turned-husband Zach Van Gerbig... and now he's PTSD-inflicted short-order cook Terry Bellefleur on True Blood.
Danny Strong used to be Paris' vertically challenged boyfriend and Rory's former editor Doyle McMaster, and now he's up-and-coming ad man Danny Siegel on Mad Men.
If only Alexis Bledel, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil, Sean Gunn, David Sutcliffe, John Cabrera, and Keiko Agena could get regular paying gigs, too...

Great article, I miss this show so much-so many people I know do too, I personally think that Lauren and Alexis made a huge mistake by leaving this stellar production. I think greed and ego overtook them. A shame. I have never stopped loving this show and still wonder about the characters. I would love for them to make a movie with the original cast!!
i wish they'd make a GG-movie... just ONE... don't like sequels...
love GG... great article...
Luke's daughter also made a guest appearence at Parenthood as Sarah's son's lab partner/crush...
I miss this show still every day! But the show has stopped at the right point. Glad the most cast members have found other jobs including Alexis who has guest starred in the series finale of E.R. and some movies. Liza Weil played a role in Grey's Anatomy and saw Keiko Agena together with David Sutcliffe in Private Practice. But I miss that town and that beatiful connection which Lorelai and Rory had. But it was time. New shows has stood up as favorite drama's ; however no show can ever push Gilmore Girls of their first spot in my top 10 TV shows.
i miss GG...love this article...
i thinck they should bring back the show and have luke and lorelia should get married and have a babby and i think rory and logan should get married and have at least 4 babbies and rory should be a journalism teacher.
tbys1980 you are wrong, both Alexis and Lauren wanted more money their contract was ending!!!
Agree, I Loved and Miss this show as well
I still blame Alexis Bledel for the show ending. She wanted to leave to pursue other things. What has she done since then? 2 or 3 movies. At least Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, and Melissa McCarthy have stayed busy.
I really miss Gilmore girls too! Thanks for telling us where the actors are now.
oh and not that he was a star or anything but Danny Pudi (from the newspaper at yale) is on the totally awesome Community now
Matt Czuchry is sooo hot! He was cocky on Gilmore Girls too!ALSO there might be a Gilmore Girls MOVIE!!! :)
I ment that I loved seenig Lauren, Luke's daughter Vanessa Marano or something like that wast guesting on this weeks ep of parenthood and it was funny to see them together again
Reunion
I miss GG but, I still watch it on abc family @ 5pm. I love to see a Reunion show the would be AWESOME !!!!
REUNION!! I miss this show! *Cries* It's so nice to be able to watch these actors/actresses in other stuff, I loove seeing them! XDDD
@torontogirl98, Luke ad Lorelai didn't have a kid, Luke and one of his ex girlfriends, Anna, had a daughter named April that he found out about in season 6. and yes i miss Gilmore Girls but it's nice seeing everybody on shows again
We want a reunion!!!
love parenthood:) i've missed lauren;)
Lauren is great on Parenthood
I want a "its ten years in the future" reunion. I need real closure.
I loved seeing Lauren and Luke's daughter on Parenthood tuesday really cute (I can't remember her name) and she is also on the show Scoundrels!
i loveeeeeeed gilmore!!!! i miss it!!!
Didn't realize there was so many now popular actors in Gilmore Girls.
Awwwwwe...dammit. I miss GG. I think it's the first show I watched from start to end.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED Gilmore Girls!!! I even visited the set in Burbank and have a picture of me outside Luke's DIner!! My dog is named after Sookie!! Oh how I wish for a reunion one off !!! David Sutcliffe had a recurring role in Private practice for a while but not seen him anywhere since and last I saw Alexis Bledel was in the very last episode of ER!!
I miss GILMORE GIRLS terribly and always watch reruns at 5 PM. The writing and acting are excellent, and it's so much fun to watch Jared Padalecki in one of his earliest acting gigs. The citizens of Stars Hollow were so rich and real, and the team of Lorelei and Rory a wondrous relationship to enjoy every week. I wish there was some way to see this show again!
i loved this show!!! and i think alexis might be in sin city 2 whenever that comes out
Alexis Biedel needs to work on getting herself out there more. the majority of everyone who was on gilmore is now staring in their own shows. what happened with her? last i know she did that movie post grad.
wow I can't believe all this stars were on Gilmore girls , I've watched few episodes I didn't watch it all . I remember Milo tho . wow Tod and Jared were on the show too .
Mainly i wish i could see Alexis Bledel, David Sutcliffe and Keiko Agena more regularly on TV, they are all damn good actors.
Liza Weil and Keiko Agena had guest roles on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice respectively, and even though they weren't regulars, I was really excited to see them again. It was particularly hilarious, after the religion-ducking character of Lane, that Keiko was playing a nun.
I don't care how many places I see Danny Strong, he's still Jonathan from Buffy to me. Gilmore Girls was my update on what happened to him in the cast of Buffy update.
Allow me to point out that Alexis Bledel has had steady acting gigs in the movies. She's got four movies under her belt since GG wrapped, with another six either announced or in pre-production (which doesn't always mean she'll appear in them, granted, but for now, she plans to appear in them).
You can watch Liza Weil doing a wonderful role, so different from Paris, in three episodes of the great webshow Anyone But Me (eps 2x04, 2x06 and 2x09). You can find it on You-Tube. She also recently had a baby so I'm guessing she's busy :)
Heck! I'm watching Gilmore Girls on dvd right now! I loved the show then and still do! Everyone on there was crazy talented!
Half the cast has done pretty well for themselves. The other half really deserved to. I'm still big fans of several of those actors in the "other" list.
I love and MISS Gilmore Girls so much! There will never be another show like it!
I'm so happy that Gilmore alumni are still getting jobs. i would like to see the rest of the crew on tv again but hang in there it might happened one day
