Go Shorty! Starz Renews 50 Cent's New Drama Power After Just One Episode

Pop the Cristal! Starz has renewed 50 Cent's new drama Power for a second season, less than a week after the show's series premiere.

Centered on a wealthy family man and nightclub owner (Omari Hardwick) who leads a double life as the kingpin of one of the biggest drug networks in New York, Power is executive-produced by the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson. Jackson also co-stars in the series, which debuted on Saturday to 1.27 million viewers.

Production on Power's 10-episode second season will start in September.

The premiere was really good and I loved it. However this is Starz so I rather celebrate when there is a third season. They did the same thing with Magic City which was a good show and then cancelled it after 2 seasons.

Actually my only wish is the show continues to tell exciting tense stories for the whole two seasons.

They did the same thing with Boss, which was an EXCEPTIONAL show on par with The Wire and then cancelled it.
