The OMGs, BTWs, and IDKs will be flying on September 1, as the CW has announced that its fall 2008-2009 season will kick off with the sophomore season of Gossip Girl, the much-hyped hit and centerpiece of the network's new aim. Paired with the return of Gossip Girl will be the premiere of the sixth season of One Tree Hill.
The CW's biggest new series, the revamped 90210, will debut the following day with a two-hour season premiere. The new show is expected to feature Beverly Hills, 90210 alumnae Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling, and follow a new generation of kids in the famous zip code.
Paired with it will be Privileged, which will make its premiere the following week, September 9. The drama is based on the book How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls, and stars JoAnna Garcia as a tutor to a pair of twin sisters in Palm Beach.
Wednesday nights have been designated fashion night, with America's Next Top Model sashaying onto televisions on September 3 with a two-hour season premiere. On October 29, Wednesdays will play host to the new reality show Stylista, which sees contestants vying for a job at a high-profile fashion magazine.
Thursdays will look familiar with the pairing of Smallville and Supernatural, both of which show off new seasons on September 18.
Finally, Friday October 3 will see the season premieres of Everybody Hates Chris and The Game.
Midseason entries Reaper and 13 - Fear is Real will have their premieres announced at a later date.
The network also announced that all of its comedy and drama programming will be broadcast in high definition.

CW please realize that the only show you have on your network that really ROCKS is SUPERNATURAL! Look at how big it is in reference to the new ratings and how popular it is on most TV boards (thanks to the efforts of their dedicated fans) and now imagine how much bigger it would be if CW actually promoted it!!!

If we are lucky, now that Aaron Spelling is dead, we might get to see his daughter's character murdered on the new show! It was such a cop-out in the old show when they hyped a character getting killed and it was that little extra that no one remembered about... Jamie Kennedy can roll up in his *** (remember that horrible white boy rapper movie he did?) and "pop a cap in her a$$".

I have been waiting for the permiere of OTH, to see who Lucas picks,and everything with Dan,and then everything that is going on with Serena and Dan in Gossip Girl. and Chuck is such a ass, for what he did to Blair, haha. Dont know why he would give up Nate... he is soo hot!!!
September will be very interesting. I don't like Smallville, but GG and OTH I very like just like the other TV Show who will start new season in September like Supernatural, Heroes, PB, Chuck. So i can't wait.

Most of the CW's programming is aimed at teens and 20's. Not much going on IMO.

I can't wait for Smallville to come back... It's the only thing I still have to watch live. Everything else I watch on Itunes or DVD. Sometimes I'll watch Heroes or Gossip Girl.

I'm glad they decided to air 90210 on Tuesdays because if it was on after Gossip Girl on Mondays I wouldn't be able to watch it live because of Heroes. So I can't wait for GG, 90210 and Supernatural! The rest suck!

I don't like that One Tree Hill is on Monday nights, couldn't they put it back on Wednesdays? Mondays people will be watching Heroes or Prison Break if it moves to 9 p.m., It just doesn't make much sense.

Supernatural and Reaper should be paired up... Smallville is dead. The rest of the station is snotty teeny-bopper girl crap. Do they have something against well written, entertaining programming? Where are the new VM style programs? CW needs to get over the soaps and the "reality" gameshows. They are boring and predictable.
