Grey's Anatomy's Caterina Scorsone Is Pregnant!

Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone is pregnant, Entertainment Weekly reports.

This will be the second child for Scorsone and her husband, Rob Giles, who are already parents to daughter Eliza, 4.

Scorsone, who plays Amelia Shepherd on Grey's, tells EW that she doesn't expect her pregnancy will be written into the show. "Last time they wrote my pregnancy in, and I think Shonda [Rhimes] is going to give me a break on this one," Scorsone told EW, referencing the fact that her previous pregnancy was written into Private Practice.

She also added that she doesn't expect producers want to "burn through" Amelia and Owen's (Kevin McKidd) romantic storyline, though the fictional couple (who got married in the most recent season finale) has discussed having children on the show. But it sounds like they'll have plenty of other obstacles to deal with in Season 13.

"The rapidity with which they got married is going to be a piece of their story," Scorsone tells EW. "Now they have to figure out how to be married. That's a big question for anybody, let alone two people who are deeply wounded. A lot of their story this year will be negotiating this whole different dynamic, sharing a life and being vulnerable when you're terrified of all of that stuff. ... I hope we get to explore how complicated and messy and sexy marriage can be."

Her character is so unlikable it flows over into how I think she is in her real life. The twin A and twin B was a farce; twins who look there's 15 year difference. And another thing, these successful women living as if in a dorm is ridiculous.

I hate her character with a passion, but congrats in real life.

Congrats to her in real life. I have no doubt the show will take the chance to turn it into what they consider a 'dramatic' relapse into drug abuse and she'll spend the season 'in rehab'. They won't write her out of the show completely because, as I said, it gives Grey's yet another excuse to bring in some horrible writing.

Perfect opportunity to write her out of the show... permanently would be preferable.
