Hannah Montana flick tops, Dragonball flops

Miley Cyrus continues to hint that she's done with playing Hannah Montana, but as long as she continues to rake in the dough as the moonlighting rock star, Disney will do all it can to keep her playing the tween sensation.

Disney's Hannah Montana: The Movie opened this holiday weekend and teen girls flocked to the theaters, as the film pulled in a rock solid $34 million. That was good enough to top the weekend's box-office and hold off the surprising Fast & Furious, which finished second.

Despite the big-brand, Disney had moderate expectations for the Hannah Montana film, but it outperformed expectations and went in the record books as Easter's second best opening (Scary Movie 4 opened to $40.2 million in 2006).

On the flipside of things, the new Dragonball movie did not do so well. Dragonball Evolution, a live-action version of the mega-popular anime series, managed only $4.6 million over the weekend.
