Hannah Tointon has won a role in The
Inbetweeners
Hannah, who played Katy Fox in the teen soap, will appear in the third series of the sitcom about foul-mouthed sixth formers.
Ex-EastEnder Kara Tointon revealed her sister's new role in an interview with New! magazine.
Asked if there was any rivalry between them, she said: "We are so different in our personalities. We always help each other. She has worked more than I have, actually.
"She's just finished a Sean Bean film and she's filming the new series of The Inbetweeners. I am happy for her, although I am jealous that she is in The Inbetweeners."
A spokesman for The Inbetweeners confirmed that Hannah had a part, but would not give any details about her character.
