Have I Got News for You ends with Lee Mack

Merton and Hislop give reigns to Mack

The topical TV quiz finishes its 37th season this Friday following a series full of political scandal and Swine Flu.

MP expenses and the flu pandemic have featured heavily on Have I Got News for You this spring, with mention of Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle also being made. In the series' final episode, airing on BBC One, subjects such as the London tube strike and Big Brother house are also expected to be covered.

Regular team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop return to present the show, while stand-up comedian Lee Mack takes the role of guest host. Life actor Damian Lewis, Peep Show comedian David Mitchell, and Gavin and Stacey's Ruth Jones have also starred this series.

Have I Got News for You's current series concludes on BBC One this Friday, June 12, at 9pm and is scheduled to return later this year.
