Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere is no stranger to media attention. The blonde beauty has become a target of the paparazzi since emerging as a fan favorite on the breakout NBC hit Heroes, documenting her budding romantic relationship with costar Milo Ventimiglia as well as her campaign to stop whale-killing in Japan.
Now Panettiere is in the spotlight again, but this time it's not her actions that have the cameras flashing. The actress' father was arrested very early this morning for allegedly punching his wife in the face, reports gossip-mongers TMZ.com.
Alan Panettiere reportedly slugged his wife, Lesley, at their home in Los Angeles after a night on the town at Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria's restaurant Beso for a benefit. According to TMZ, the two "clearly enjoyed a few cocktails during the evening," and Alan got agitated when Lesley was "chatting up" Scott Reeves, Clint Eastwood's son.
According to reports from the police, Alan struck Lesley in the cheek--possibly twice--with a closed fist when the couple were arguing at their home at approximately 3 a.m. Lesley called the police, who showed up to the scene where the two were inebriated.
Meanwhile, Hayden is currently filming the highly anticipated third season of Heroes. Hopefully she can keep her focus and be the darling Claire bear we all know and love!

Wonder if Hayden will have a career after this. She's very cute now, hard to see her as an adult acress, though.

Eh? While I wait for you to hopefully finish that incomplete though, i'll help you along. That seems like a pretty lopsided expectation. What happened to the striving for equal treatment? As a man, i would appreciate immunity from unecesary violence from women as well, or do you think it's ok for women to hit men and kick them in their nether-regions if they are drunk and/or feeling justified?
