HBO Announces Premiere Dates for Girls, Looking, and New Comedy Togetherness

I hope you Girls are Looking for some Togetherness.

Are you Looking for some Girls?

Crap.

HBO has announced premiere dates for the upcoming seasons of of both Girls and Looking, as well as new comedy Togetherness. Well, it's announced one premiere date: All three series will return/debut on Sunday, January 11.

Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet will kick off the night when Girls returns for its 10-episode fourth season at 9pm. Hopefully by that time we'll all have forgotten what Williams looks like in a Peter Pan wig.

New comedy Togetherness, which follows two couples living under one roof, will then debut at 9:30pm. The series comes from brother duo Mark and Jay Duplass (TransparentThe Mindy Project) and will run for eight episodes; Mark Duplass (The LeagueThe Mindy Project) and Melanie Lynskey star as Brett and Michelle, a married couple who's struggling to rekindle their relationship while sharing digs with another married couple played by Steve Zissis and Amanda Peet. Zissis's character Alex is also Brett's BFF, and Peet's character Tina is also Michelle's sister, so expect to see plenty of dramedy as they all try to remain friends/siblings/spouses.

Finally, the second season of Looking, which was recently named Out Magazine's TV Show of the Year, will debut at 10pm. Starring Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez, and Murray Bartlett, the half-hour series follows the lives of three gay friends as they live, work, and search for love in San Francisco. Season 2 will run for 10 episodes (up from eight episodes in Season 1!), and supporting players Lauren WeedmanRaúl Castillo, and Russell Tovey will all be back full-time.

Will you be watching GirlsLooking, and/or Togetherness?

Looking is pretty terrible, and not the kind of show gay people need on television.

I thought the pilot was awful, but I've loved every episode after that. The only complaint I really have left is that Patrick needs to listen more to what people say when he's interpretting things, and Agustin needs to not be such an ass to everyone.

Mark Duplass is great on The Mindy Project. Will that suffice? I'll check it out.

Oh yes Looking finally has a premiere!! I hope the ratings improve for this great show. It's just so surreal & brilliant how it mirrors contemporary gay life right now! My only quibble is Rhy not put it on at 9:30!?? Much better time slot.
