HBO Cancels The Life and Times of Tim

... Sad news, folks. HBO has canceled The Life and Times of Tim after two seasons. But there may be a tiny little light at the end of the tunnel. Comedy Central, TBS, and other cable networks have supposedly expressed interest in picking up the show, so Tim's life and times may go on. Keep your fingers crossed. [Deadline]

... Seth MacFarlane is in (animated) trouble again! The FCC was not too pleased with a horse ejaculation scene that aired in a January episode of American Dad!, and now FOX could face some $25,000 fineage. [Huffington Post]

... The Coco saga continues: TBS is trying to get advertisers to pay as much as they did for spots on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. That might be kind of hard because, uh, TBS is not NBC. Nice try though! Good luck to you! [New York Post]

... In case the trailers from the 2010 Upfronts weren't enough for you, CBS has released extended trailers! More Mike and Molly! More Hawaii Five-O! More $#*! and Shatner! [THR]

... FlashForward fans are going to stage the most awesomest protest ever in an attempt to revive the show. They're planning to play dead on June 10 in front of several of ABC's big-city offices for—you guessed it—2 minutes and 17 seconds. [Variety]

... Those aforementioned FlashForward fans will probably be bummed to hear that Joseph Fiennes has moved on... but stoked that he's found a way cooler role for himself. He'll play Merlin in Starz's new Camelot series opposite Casino Royale's Eva Green, who will play the sorceress Morgana. Sounds like a party! [THR]

... Julia Stiles confirmed to a random tabloid-y website that she'll be guest-starring on Dexter next season. Here's hoping that she pulls a John Lithgow and revives her career in a supremely creep-tastic way, thought it doesn't sound like she will. [Hollywood Life]

... Tate Donovan and Christina Chang have left No Ordinary Family for vague reasons. Ausiello reports that it's story-line-related, but who knows. [Ausiello]

LaToT should come back on tv because its the only realistic funny cartoon and the only fully uncensored cartoon

I've always liked Julia Stiles, and she's definitely due for a career revival. Hope this stint on Dexter does it for her. Whereas Joseph Fiennes, blah. He seriously is quite a terrible actor, so no loss if Flashforward moves on without him.

flashforward could only get better without Fiennes, he's got to be the worst actor I've ever seen

Not too crazy about Julia Stiles in Dexter. Hoping it doesnt happen. Though everyone who has ever been in Dexter acted brilliantly. Also not too bothered by FlashForward cause I'm also not a big Joseph Fiennes fan....not a lot of actors/actresses I dont like, but these are two of 'em.

Nooooo!! Tim was the only person that made my life seem alright. LaToT is the best adult cartoon in years. The show has pulled in big names this past season, so I totally thought it was heading somewhere.

i hope TBS wont pick it up, they would censor it and it would be horrible.

Not really surprising to hear about TL&ToT, but sad - it's a great cartoon. I don't see it working on basic cable, considering the amount it'll have to be toned down. New Dexter asapplzkthx.

First off, Life and Times of Tim, while not the worst thing HBO had greenlit lately (although I'm hoping Sunnyside heights and little britain, the latter of which was hit or miss, is not coming back), but it definitely was hard to latch onto sometimes. I watched the whole first season and still had trouble getting myself motivated to watch the second (and didnt after the first couple episodes). Anyway, TBS, Comedy Central? Yeah right, that's even more of a head scratcher than TBS thinking they could make Sex And The City work.

Oh and while it's "cool" to do a protest where you play dead for 2 minutes, a stylized mini-performance probably won't do much of anything to help bring the show back.

*crosses fingers* for Tim (& Stu)! Stu is the man. Eh not exactly but he's funny (& so is the show!) *Shakes fist* at HBO.

That FlashForward thing is awesome/hilarious. The show is on a take-it-or-leave-it basis for me, but if this actually works (which is doubtful), good for them!

Never watched Flashforward and didn't hear all that great things about it but still, my respect goes out to anyone who protests network cancelings. From the subwayeaters of Chuck to now apparantly the Flashforwarded. And I have to admit it is a pretty cool way to do it

Don't the FCC people (and other as well) have something better to do than being so narrow minded?
Why don't they do and attack reality shows? Why do they attack intelligence? Do they really wanna keep living in a dream?
Get a life!

It's disgusting that the FCC would like to fine American Dad for that horse scene I don't even remember, but Family Guy gets away with a nauseating episode where Brian eats from Stewie's diaper??? This was made worse when they could have had Brian put it in the safe deposit box and use Stewie's $2,000 sweater he wanted to return as a new diaper, but noooo, they had to lose all moral sense and decency for their beyond juvenile, illiterate, humorless writing practices. For them to get away with this while being fined for the horse is the real indecency.

FlashForward kinda sucked...

That stunt has no chance of working. The cast/crew have moved on and the show did so badly in ratings that it would be moronic to bring it back.

That's something they never did on Dexter, each of the seasons main baddies (after Dexter of course) have been men. And although it's rare there are female serial killers out there. Rosemary West, Aileen Wuornos and Mary Ann Cotton to name a few. And as for Seth and Family Guy, might we hear a "Freakin' FCC part 2" this fall?

Noooooooooo!!!!!! The Life and Times of Tim is one of the best comedies on TV. This is a travesty!

Fortunately, FlashForward can move on without Joseph Fiennes considering Mark is supposed to disappear for a time (seeing as Charlie is probably in her mid to late teens or even older when she said that they found him). I'm not going to the protest but I would be a happy camper if the show got picked up.
