ABC today announced that it will feature it's first-ever HDTV promotional campaigns during Sunday's Super Bowl XL broadcast. The network will air high-definition promos for its hit shows Lost, Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy and its new shows The Evidence and Sons and Daughters.
The Lost promo will take the form of a 60-second music video set to the 1985 Robert Palmer hit "Addicted To Love." The spot will feature shots from the video of the song, in which the late singer is seen dancing with guitar-playing fashion models, intercut with clips from the hit show about castaways on a mysterious island. The lyrics have been slightly altered so the chorus now says "Might as well face it, you're addicted to Lost."
Another promo, called "Get Into the Game," involves the comedy-drama Desperate Housewives. In the spot, sports figures including NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal, USC quarterback Matt Leinart, skateboard champion Tony Hawk, and world boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard appear in various Los Angeles locales humorously discussing their thoughts about Housewives. Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner also makes an appearance from his Playboy Mansion.
Promos for medical show Grey's Anatomy, legal drama The Evidence, and upcoming sitcom Sons and Daughters will also be broadcast in HDTV.
Super Bowl XL airs on ABC, Sunday, February 5, at 6:15 p.m. ET.

Cool, I'm only watchin the ***ed Super Bowl for the commercials.
Sounds like another good idea from the ABC promo department. They may be interesting but I doubt that they will work in attracting many new viewers to said programs.
interesting...
