Netflix Renews Hemlock Grove for a Third and Final Season

The moon will soon set on one of television's weirdest shows. Netflix has ordered a third and final season of its horror drama Hemlock Grove, the company announced on Tuesday. The 10-episode farewell scheduled to debut sometime in 2015.

Based on Brian McGreevy's novel of the same name, Hemlock Grove was created by Eli Roth (Cabin FeverHostel) and stars Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgard, Landon Liboiron, and Dougray Scott. It follows two young men—one a vampire, one a werewolf—who are wrongly accused of murder when bodies start piling up in a small Pennsylvania town. Though promoted as a Gothic horror series, the show is best known for its WTF moments.

This is the second renewal that Netflix has issued as of late; just last week, the streaming-video service ordered a second season of its new animated comedy BoJack Horseman.

Are you excited for more Hemlock Grove?

Hemlock Grove was and still is THE weirdest show I have EVER watched. But that's a really good thing from me! I'm so intrigued by the story lines and I got so attached to the characters. And I mean look at Landon's and Bill's faces. Yum
I really wanted Romancek Hemlock Grove to be a thing for like 5 or 6 seasons.
Come on Netflix :(

Aw... hearing its the final season makes me sad. I love the weirdness of Hemlock grove. I love it even more when it's Roman and Peter investigating stuff, hopefully it'll be more of that in s3. S2 brought them together a little too late in the episodes (hehe).
Also, gotta give Hemlock Grove credit for the weirdest, creepiest werewolf transformation I've ever seen.

Not really excited. The second season was great in general, but the finale was awful. So I don't know yet whether I will watch it further. Though, probably will check it out. Why not?

That second season got me back in it hard.

But, truth be told. I don't see how anyone could justify making more than three seasons of this thing - seriously, there's no point making any episode after Olivia gets killed off, and they seriously needs to get that woman murder asap... you know, to restore balance in the Force or something.

Boy, is that chick the worst!

After that totally messed up finale, I can't wait for season three. I was hoping the show would go 5 seasons. It's crazy to the point that I can't get enough of it.

I agree! Im thrilled they renewed it for a third season! But as you say, I was hoping for more to come. As said, it's one of the wierdest shows out there but thats the reason I love it! It's unpredictable, it's dark and raw and not like other shows in the "same genre", like Vampire Diaries, True Blood (don't get me wrong, I love that show), Teen wolf and The Originals, as some examples. Those are all "dark-romanticized". I find Hemlock really refreshing in this whole "supernatural-genre"! It's so raw in so many ways and I like it!

I still hope there will be more seasons, event hough it dosen't look that way.

English is my second language, thats why there might be some shitty grammar.

I am glad we will get some closure with this show.

I wasn't too optimistic about season 2 when it started, but before I knew it, Madeline Brewer was getting topless just about every single episode. Sure helped quell my sadness of losing Kandyse McClure in season 1!

Only one season left... I'm sad... But at least we will have some kind of closure...

As much as I love the WTF-moments, the gore, and the mythological mumbo jombo, what really made me fall for S1 was the relationship of Roman and Peter, and how the two actors seemed to inspire each other.
Because of this, I was somewhat let down by S2 - even though their fallout kinda make sense, I guess... Anyhow - I'm happy for the renewal, as they are back together.

It's crazy, uneven, and ridiculous--and I love it for those qualities.

I liked Season 2 and the finale was a shocker to see the Gargoylic demon winged thingie carried off the baby and girl. Wasn't expecting that. looking forward to Season 3 to see how they will wrap up all the crazy stuff.

I'm happy they're not ending the series with the season 2 finale, but I never realized the series was failing to a degree that another season was in question.. Kinda bummed there's only gunna be one more season.. I really like this show, it throws a lot of random shit at you and I dig that. But HG going beyond a 3rd or 4th season would probably result in a decline in quality, so I guess I can accept the end is near..

I'm glad they're doing it as a final season. Season 2 was more coherent than season 1, but still suffered from lack of overall direction at first it seemed, but it ended on a pretty big what the hell moment and offered a cliffhanger for a season 3.. but beyond season 3 I wouldn't have thought it'd get much better. so it's better to do a final season.
