It seems like we said this last year, but this upcoming season of Heroes could make or break the franchise. It's no secret that -- despite its fiercely loyal core audience -- the once-mighty drama has been slipping in the ratings department and could be the next sci-fi show to get the axe. But a positive outlook for the new season -- and the addition of a new villain -- has NBC pushing promos to keep interest.
The latest TV spot emphasizes the characters' wishes to move on to normal lives, showing us Claire as a same-sex-kissing college student, Peter as a paramedic, and Sylar as a new daddy. The trailer doesn't reveal much more than what was previously released, but it's still worth a look to see how NBC is pushing the new season. It's obvious the network has sky-high hopes for new villain Samuel, who's played by Robert Knepper.
Also worth a look is the newest poster for the show. One of Heroes biggest criticisms has been its overabundance of characters, so the new poster focuses only on Hiro, Sylar, and Claire, and Claire's cleavage -- all of which are fan favorites. Check it out in full size right here.

Surely the decline in viewers over the past series had to have been down to the interruptions in worldwide broadcasting due to the writers strike and the whole idea of this girl on girl action is almost an insult to the fans as it is clearly a desperate move to gain more fans (which in the long run it wouldn't) at the expense of a better storyline. Will always watch the show and hope it continues for a few more seasons.
well, i guess girl on girl action never fails 2 attract more attention
I am a fan and I hope it continues for a loong time. Cause Heroes is one of those rare shows that can have a completely new cast every season or 2. It's like the brit show Skins. But they don't think that and keep adding new people with the old and make a big batch of insane. But, oh well, is SIMPSONS can go on for 20 freaking years, Heroes may have a chance.
Well I guess they do need to pander to the fans' favorite things.
I count myself as part of that "fiercely loyal core audience", and I hope that Heroes will continue to improve. I think it got back on its feet during the last half of last season and I can't wait for the new one to arrive in the UK.
I am sure the show is going to be good, However if the critics and rating wont help then god help us all it sad how the critics have tried so hard to make this show look bad. And those who listen to them aren’t real fans at all,

Yatta!! Hopefully it will be somewhat good now.....
Th Promo looks good, Haters back off.
I just hope it's worth watching now
I hope they make it interesting
My friend loves this show... or use to(?) I don't know anymore cuz she doesn't say anything about it... but when it first came out she was upset with my cuz I didn't watch it... but I was never interested in the show... the promos don't really do anything for me to actually want to watch the show.
Hopefully, the writing has improved.
it really looks they just photoshopped graphic-novel claire's cleavage onto real claire. seriously its like from the neck down she doesn't even look human.
Lame !!!!!!!!!!! they're trying so hard and still so lame
Awesome, so now we know Sylar returns, thanks for the freakin' spoiler. Considering the end of last season when Sylar was turned into Nathan Petrelli, this poster basically disregards that fact. Now, I know guys, Sylar was bound to return, they even hinted at it at the very end, but still... at least let us believe he's gone for a bit before unleashing him... geez...
And I guess when Sylar does return, goodbye Nathan... unless they got some way around that (I smell clones...)
psh, call that cleavage?
...and Hiro is blatantly checking out Claire's cleavage. looking dazed.
I like the trailer and it seems Heroes are coming back to its roots and glory. This season could be as good as the first one.
Princepip81: Why is it that only the good opinions should be heard? If someone isn't pleased with the way a show is going, why shouldn't that person be able the voice his/hers opinion? If you followed a show that you really like from the start and you see how things are beginning to go down in quality, are you just about to sit there and take it? It's not that we don't want it anymore, we just want the people involved to wake up and realize that the changes they've made isn't for the good.
they better wake up their idea this season...
i'm really excited for this premiere. i'm one of those fans that has always been along for the ride and enjoying it for what it is instead of trying to impose my own expectations onto it. i have a suggestion for those that don't like the show any longer. um... stop posting about the show. if you don't want it anymore, why bother? some people just like to complain, and it's annoying.
hate the show. hate it. removed it from my favorites. god the writers just suck.
Hmm, I have never really had a problem with Heroes. I mean true the latter seasons weren't as good as the first but the show itself is still pretty good. I have high hopes for this season ( maybe that's just because I'm a Robert Knepper fan), I mean the general synopsis sounds pretty intriguing and I doubt it will be worse then villains, but we'll see.
It'll either get better to a lot of surprise or it'll go down in burning flames of glory. Not sure which I'd prefer.
eventhough the promo looks good and interesting, i have a feeling that ratings will still slip
Nobody really is doing anything heroic so I don't get why the show is called Heroes.
I am looking forward to this season, honestly. After the disappointment of last season's finale, I really want this season to do well so that the show can be saved. Heroes used to be great; here's hoping that it can be again.
its gonna be one boring season
