Heroes getting T-Bag'd

Robert Knepper stays evil!

As far as villains in recent network television history go, few can compare to Prison Break's Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell, portrayed by actor Robert Knepper. T-Bag's story may be over with the end of Prison Break, but Knepper will continue the creepy villain thing on another show.

The actor has signed on to the next season of Heroes as the lead villain, says The Hollywood Reporter. He'll play Samuel, a charming man with a mean streak that was previously described as "The Carnival Barker" in casting announcements.

Heroes is also looking to cast Ray Park (known to most as the man who played Darth Maul in the second batch of Star Wars films) and Deanne Bray (The L Word) in multi-episode appearances. Park is set to play another Carnie and Bray will play a hearing-impaired love interest for one of the main characters.

When we last saw Dr. House, he was being admitted to the loony bin, and apparently that's where things will kick off in season six of Fox's House. House will have a roommate in the crazy house played by Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who penned and starred in the Tony-Award-winning In the Heights, says EW.com.

What do you think of T-Bag heading to Heroes? And how long will House last in the mental hospital?

Heroes doesn't need a lead villain. Bring back Zachary Quinto and all problems will be solved!

I am glad T Bag is joining heroes. I hope he brings a new change because we need some. I beleieve the season will be a redemption for both volume 5 and the show.

This is show is like a life boat. They keep adding more people and eventually it will sink. I will admit I am a fan, but I'm starting to lose interest. Season was so fresh and so new, now, it just seems like more of the same old same. Even season 3 giving us the thought that some people were changing sides when, in the end, no one really did. Forget the life boat, I'm going to swim for it.

The bad news with heroes is that even with powerful guest stars...like Zeljko Ivanek...couldn't revive their ratings. That shows how deep the show has sunk. Just give it a great finale for the coming season and bury the show.

Good casting choice for Heroes, now all you have to do is get the show back to where it was at the end of season one before everything became rubbish. As for House, again not a bad decision at all and the whole nut house deal is a great way to kick off the new season. I give it three eps tops before he is back at the hospital solving cases.

Robert Knepper is a great actor and a villain in his performance will bring new life to Heroes.

I like this one, although it sure seems like he's setting himself up to be typecast forever! Horray for Ray Park!! I hope they get him, too!

I am VERY excited to see Knepper on Heroes! Prison Break has been my favorite show on television the last few years, and I'm a bit sad that it's come to an end. Knepper, who plays T-Bag, and Fichtner, who plays Alexander Mahone, are the best actors in Prison Break, and I'm happy that one of them will already have a role come this fall. Hoping for the best for Fichtner as well!

My guess on House. He'll be in for a few episodes. During which time he'll notice that a few mental-health patients are ACTUALLY suffering from some physical condition that is being mis-interpretted as a mental issue. The doctors will be INCREDIBLY resistant at first but he'll somehow convince them or cure them on his own.I agree with another poster, probably 5 episodes or less.Otherwise it changes the dynamic of the entire show too greatly. Kind of like when "My Name is Earl" changed to "Earl in Jail" or "Earl in a coma while Randy works on his list."

    Sounds like great casting choices.

T-Bag is definitely one of the best villains I've ever seen. I was surprised he wasn't nominated in season 1 or 2. Same goes with William Fichtner. Fichtner's season 2 performace was astounding.

T-bag for the win. He'll make a good nemesis. Just hope he doesn't end up outshining Sylar as the show baddie.

Heroes has always been good, but getting another badas actor like Robert Knepper is just gonna be awsome, or will it put Sylar out of his spotlight?

I knew the character of T-Bag was going to heighten Robert Knepper's career. Robert Knepper is a brilliant actor and should have won an Emmy for his performance as T-Bag. But I think Knepper's future in acting is looking to take a huge swing as he will propel himself to fame and brilliant roles.

If his character is just similar to his PB character then it will be amazing. Now I am counting the days to the start of Heroes.

I'm excited for the new season of House. The ongoing battle with Vicadin was starting to get old, so this is a step in the right direction, instead of more of the same.I never watched Prison Break, but I'm pretty enthused about Heroes' new episodes, because parts of last season were a let-down, and they've changed writers again (I heard).

Robert Knepper is a fantastic villian. I've never been interested in watching Heroes but I might decide to check it out. His bad guy characters are a far cry from his role on my favorite "canceled way before its time show" "Thieves." I can't believe it's the same guy who played T-Bag. He should win the Emmy this year.

knepper is a great actor whose really come into his own over the last few years...also ive heard thru the grapevine that knepper is to play Freddie Krueger in the new "Nightmare On Elm Street"...now theres a perfect role for this guy who likes to play villains...look at him in both "Hitman and The Transporter 3"...great villainous roles there

I guess I'll watch the fourth season now. However, they still have a lot of work to do to fix the show, but this is a start.

Finally an adult villian that can be badass, the rest seem like childs compared to T-bag. Hopefully his storyline will be cool.

I'm glad there's gonna be a new vilain in Heroes Sylar was geting a little old and judging by how he played T-Bag, Robert Kneeper will do a great job as a vilain

  • frosty_ice

Cool... Robert Kneeper is the perfect actor to do the next big villain in Heroes (Sylar is a lame villain if you ask me, and he's not even spooky). As for House, I think he won't be in the asylum more than five or six episodes.
