Hot List: This Week's Season Premieres (With Clips!)

Five distinctly different reality shows -- covering everything from runway design to sports -- will premiere this week. It's the perfect time to shop around for the one that suits you. Sports fans can watch Shaquille O'Neal compete against world class athletes at their own game in Shaq Vs. Are home improvement projects more your thing? See how the recession has screwed real estate junkie and professional gentrifier Jeff in Flipping Out. Those are just two options among these five new shows that should help tide you over until the fall season begins.

Flipping Out
Season Premiere: Tuesday, August 18 at 10 p.m. on Bravo
Jeff, the realtor who buys houses, improves them and flips them for a profit on Flipping Out, is having a hard time in this recession. Wondering what these doldrums of our financial slump are doing to the real estate business and the sanity of realtors? Then flip out with Jeff when Season Three premieres this week.

Secret Lives of Women
Season Premiere: Tuesday, August 18 at 10 p.m. on WE
From partying with rock stars to sticking with adulterous husbands to proving their children aren't murderers, the women of SLOW have some pretty dark secrets. Don't let the rocking theme music fool you, this show is about the darker side of life.

Shaq Vs.
Series Premiere: Tuesday, August 18 at 9 p.m. on ABC
Now this is a reality show we can get on board with. NBA baller and self-proclaimed "greatest athlete in the world" Shaquille O'Neal goes head-to-head with world class athletes in Shaq Vs. It's hilarious to see Shaq talk smack, but really?! Do you think you can out-swim Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps?

Top Chef: Las Vegas
Season Premiere: Wednesday, August 19 at 9 p.m. on Bravo
It's a bit calmer than Hell's Kitchen, but this season of Top Chef goes to the City of Sin and the judges waste no time getting the competition started. Hint: Don't watch this show hungry.

Project Runway
Season Premiere : Thursday, August 20 at 10 p.m. on Lifetime
After a long hiatus, host Heidi Klum and the contestants of Project Runway are moving to Los Angeles this season. But the new batch of wannabe designers are getting a little on-air company. Models of the Runway (premiering at 11 p.m.) is a spin-off show that follows the models who will show off the contestants new designs.
