House and the premieres of Skins and Being Human

8 p.m., CBS

How I Met Your Mother

The gang travels to Minnesota with Marshall (Jason Segel)—and has a run-in with a guy who used to bully him in high school.

8 p.m., FOX

House

While the team treats a man (guest star Matthew Lillard) who collapsed after trying to save a woman on the subway tracks, House (Hugh Laurie) avoids Cuddy’s opinionated mother (guest star Candice Bergen), who’s in town for Cuddy’s (Lisa Edelstein) birthday.

Series premiere, 9 p.m., CNN

Piers Morgan Tonight

Piers Morgan’s first guest on his new (pre-recorded) talk show is—drumroll, please—Oprah Winfrey!

Series premiere, 9 p.m., Syfy

Being Human

In the premiere of this new drama based on the original UK series, we meet a vampire (Sam Witwer) and a werewolf (Sam Huntington) who move in with a ghost (Meaghan Rath) and support each other as they try to lead normal “human” lives.

Series premiere, 10 p.m., MTV

Skins

In the premiere of this new drama based on the original UK seri—can’t we do anything original in this country? Anyway, the first episode of this teen-centric show focuses on Tony (James Milo Newman) and his plight to lose his virginity.

Series premiere, 10 p.m., NBC

Harry’s Law

Kathy Bates has her own NBC show now, which hopefully means she won’t be on The Office for much longer. In Harry's Law, she plays a feisty attorney who gets fired from her firm and decides to open up her own practice in an old shoe store.

House looks great! I can't imagine anything scaring him more than his girlfriend's mother. Also, can't deny the awesome-ness of Hawaii 5-0, Lie to Me, and The Cape.

I don't get why anyone would want to remake Being Human. Surely, I'm used to movies/series in my own native language being remade, but an english accent should be perfectly understandable ?

Looking foreward to HIMYM, though.

Pretty Little Liars, Hawaii Five-O. I've seen the UK version of Skins and it's cool, and it's very out there, so i'm gonna give this remake a chance knowing that it probably won't be as spicy as the original

How I Met Your Mother, Chuck, The Cape, Mike & Molly, Hawaii Five-0, Jersey Shore, Conan, Craig Ferguson.. i might even give Being Human a chance to see what it's like because it can't be as bad as Skins US.. that's going to be HOOOOOORRRRRIBLE. MTV would have better luck airing the UK version on their channel, probably would if BBC America didn't have rights for US broadcast. I'm too behind on House to try and watch it, I need to get the DVDs of the seasons I've missed

Why did they use the same name "Skins" as in the UK version? They should have changed it.

I'm going to watch The Cape. There! I said it! I bet nobody else is going to admit watching this crappy show, but I really think it's fun. And of course the usual suspects: Chuck & Five-0

Skins ep is not about Tony's attempt to lose his virginity but Tony's attempt to get his best friend Stanley to lose his virginity. Whats worse about this remake is that the first episode is a shot for shot remake of the original. At least attempt to make it about American culture
