As is the case with any year, 2011 brought with it many beginnings and endings. In the world of television, this meant the start of some fantastic new series and the end of some old favorites. And so it's only fitting that we pay our respects to those shows we've loved and lost (as well as to a few we were happy to see go). Here's our video tribute to the shows we said goodbye to this year.
Fare thee well, old friends. You will be missed. Some of you more than others.
UPDATE: We'll all have to pour out a glass of white wine for Bored to Death and down a can of Rasta Monster for How to Make It in America; they were canceled after we finished this year's video. Oh, and add Hung to the list at the end.
Which recently deceased show will you miss the most in 2012?

the closer has not ended yet the final 6 episodes will air in June
Thanks for this, I'm enjoying The Event and will start on Friday Night Lights
V, Caprica, and L&O:LA: it seemed liked all three of these shows got off to a shaky start, but were just starting to get good. Human Target was good, escapist fun, kind of a throwback to 80's action shows. I also thought The Defenders was fun.
Endgame was forgotten
SGU, V, Hellcats
Chuck
traffic light was the best
I'm going to miss Lie To Me. Such a tragedy that it got cancelled.
I didn't realize half those shows had been canceled.
Come on, no mention of The Buried Life? Just sad.
smallville and thats it
SGU was just getting started, Smallville and Human Target will be missed too
If only all Wrestling were removed from the air the world would be a slightly better place.
XD p!ss off troll, pro wrestlings tougher than any other sport in the world X a thousand and more entertaining than 99% of anything else on tv
get a clue ya ignorant moron ; )
V and Stargate: Universe only out of that entire list...
Miss watching smallville...
ENTOURAAAAAAAAAAAGE!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY???
Definitely miss watching Smallville every week, miss Human Target as well. :(
For us there are three that we really enjoyed...and we will miss them!
1. The Closer. 2. Prime Suspect. 3. Detroit 1-8-7.
SMALLVILLE WAS THE BEST!!
I liked Outsourced and No Ordinary Family... too bad. And Traffic Light was pretty good too. V was kinda stupid but I watched it, probably more for nostalgia for the original show than for any other reason. Smallville wasn't cancelled, they planned to end it. Better With You was highlarious, Mad Love and Mr. Sunshine were enjoyable, Running Wilde had one of the funniest actors alive in it, and my daughter loved Sonny With a Chance. Too bad about Whitest Kids You Know, too.
As for the rest... didn't watch them.
I'll will specialy miss L&O:CI... and also.. just for routine.. Greek, Bros&Sis and Smallville. Even soo.. they were all crappy in their current seasons and deserve to be cancelled.
Nice tv show
Friday Night lights, and How to Make it in America
WWE Superstars wasn't cancelled, just removed from American television. It still airs overseas and online.
Ilana Diamond has an error in the video when she points out GBTV. It was Glenn Beck (the Fox News Show) that Ended or was Canceled depending on your definition.
GBTV is an Internet Venture/Channel that is not connected with any TV Channel
Lie to me and smallville are the one ill miss the most , there there was so many great shows that got cancelled, some of them i think it was really unffair, but we have to live with it. Hoppefully 2012 will bring us amazing shows. So say we all.
i liked Life Unexpected
Smallville will be the show I'll miss.
Smallville, Lie to me are my 2 favorites. i am WAY too happy to be done with SGU. the actors are amazing, just as long as you keep garlic from Brian (LOL). But they should be showing their talents off in a much better light, elsewhere! So long Clark, Lois, Chloe, Oliver, and of course who can forget Krypto. So long lightman, you taught me so much about my husband, we are doomed for divorce.. .LOL i'm kidding. I look forward to merlin Season 5 and the continuation of my Supernatural and Sanctuary days. Thank you SPN for keeping my love of TV alive.
Although I hated the finale, I will always LOVE Smallville. It was a great show for a long time.
I will miss Stargate Universe, especially for the performances of Louis Ferreira & Robert Carlyle. I also have a deep fondness (for some God forsaken reason) for 'The Cape'. The show have such potential, with the straight out of Stan Lee's playbook origin to the funky villains (Vinnie Jones as Scales) and the mysterious history of the Cape's past. AARRGGHHH! What could of been!
SGU, Lie to Me, Law & Order Criminal Intent AND Los Angeles. Perhaps a poll on the shows people miss the most (greardless of when they were cancelled) and doing a video on their passing is the next task?
SGU, V and Smallville you will be missed... And I know I may well be alone here, but I thought The Cape and No Ordinary Family had potential. A season more and they might have been excellent.
Woah! Was that the crappiest looking clip TV. com could find for Smallville?
The quality was horrific! All the other shows got great looking, clear, crisp clips.
That thing looks like it was downloaded off of Youtube after some fan uploaded it.
Not cool.
V, Smallville, Flash Forward, but especially Smallville! I love watching the reruns.
V, Lie to Me, Stargate Universe (anything Stargate), and Two and a Half Men w/Charlie Sheen pre-meltdown. I never saw The Event, and may watch it online. Brothers and Sisters is one I wish I had watched. Rescue Me, Smallville and Friday Night Lights had terrific runs. I had no idea that Secret Diary of a Call Girl was still on, so I'm way behind there. Human Target was fun, but never quite kept a schedule it seemed, but had lots of potential. Someone pointed out The Unusuals, and I agree that is a loss. :(
I remain forever missing the tragic losses of Firefly and Jericho. >:-{ (Grrrr)
All that said, there are still many great shows out there, and some top-notch possible hits coming in 2012. :)
Can we bring back firefly PLEASE!!!! i'm sure Castle won't mind.
"V" - I loved the original mini series, I wanted to see what they were going to do with this one, I guess we'll never know
Smallville, entourage, Stargate, and sadly to say the cape i was just getting into it. Camelot because it was just getting good.
Ghost Whisperer, Knight Rider(although short lived), Medium, Smallville, Friday Night Lights, Just to name a few.
Smallville will sure be missed!!!
Its really a great show, i remember missing an important meeting just to watch an episode on tv. Also the moments when i argue with the entire cafeteria to change the channel so i wont miss an episode.
I wish there will be a sequel to it. I agree to most of those who commented that this should just be the beginning of the story, there is more into it..
smallville and rescue me sob sob :(.... gud series
