As is the case with any year, 2011 brought with it many beginnings and endings. In the world of television, this meant the start of some fantastic new series and the end of some old favorites. And so it's only fitting that we pay our respects to those shows we've loved and lost (as well as to a few we were happy to see go). Here's our video tribute to the shows we said goodbye to this year.
Fare thee well, old friends. You will be missed. Some of you more than others.
UPDATE: We'll all have to pour out a glass of white wine for Bored to Death and down a can of Rasta Monster for How to Make It in America; they were canceled after we finished this year's video. Oh, and add Hung to the list at the end.
Which recently deceased show will you miss the most in 2012?
1. The Closer. 2. Prime Suspect. 3. Detroit 1-8-7.
As for the rest... didn't watch them.

The quality was horrific! All the other shows got great looking, clear, crisp clips.
That thing looks like it was downloaded off of Youtube after some fan uploaded it.
Not cool.
I remain forever missing the tragic losses of Firefly and Jericho. >:-{ (Grrrr)
All that said, there are still many great shows out there, and some top-notch possible hits coming in 2012. :)
Its really a great show, i remember missing an important meeting just to watch an episode on tv. Also the moments when i argue with the entire cafeteria to change the channel so i wont miss an episode.
I wish there will be a sequel to it. I agree to most of those who commented that this should just be the beginning of the story, there is more into it..
If the people who never gave it a chance or the people who started blaming "Stargate Universe" actually gave it a chance and started watching it wouldn't be canceled and we would of had our SG1 and Atlantis movies already...
The shows that only made it one season and I would have liked to see a bit more of are The Good Guys, Detroit 1-8-7, Terriers, the Defenders and Mr. Sunshine.
My old regulars that I think had probably run its course but I kept hoping would become better again are Big Love and Lie to me, so I guess those cancellations will save me time and disappointment.
