Chelsea Handler may be heading to CBS.

On Monday night, the Chelsea Lately host posted a photo of herself reading what appeared to be CBS paperwork while her dog sat in her lap. "Business meeting," she tweeted with the photo. "Chunk has been acting like this since I started my tour."

Despite rumors that Handler could be replacing late-night host Craig Ferguson, a CBS rep tells TVGuide.com, "There are no discussions with Chelsea Handler regarding the network's 12:30am late-night broadcast. Her meeting with CBS yesterday was a general meeting with our syndication group."

Last month, Handler's manager said that she intends to leave E! when her contract expires in nine months.

(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)

Looking on the bright side, NBC does need help in the ratings.

It's one thing for Craig to get passed over for Dave's job. If Chelsea replaces him, it's pretty unfair. He's been extremely successful and the most successful host of The Late Late Show. Remember Craig Kilborn? Yeah, that's how low that show was.

Could it be for a syndicated show owned by CBS ala Arsenio? I think she could do better.
