Is Mindy Kaling *also* leaving The Office this year? (VIDEO)

Last night on Lopez Tonight, Mindy Kaling discussed her obsession with the LA Lakers—and casually mentioned that she might be leaving The Office at the end of this season. Way to bury the lede, Mindy (The Office gossip starts around the 6:30 mark).

The network: ReelzChannel. The premiere date: April 3. The good news: Katie Holmes really does look like Jackie O. The bad news: It appears that none of the cast has ever heard a person from Massachusetts speak before. [via NYMag.com]

Here's a sweet little montage of scenes from TV shows like Mad Men, Lost, and Six Feet Under, all lovingly re-created with tiny dolls. Yes, some people have too much time on their hands, but the internet would be nowhere without them. [via NYMag.com]

Last night on The Daily Show, Matthew Perry told Jon Stewart about his slightly lewd mechanism for coping with overly-happy people.

And on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, poor Jim Parsons had to field all sorts of penis-related questions from Craig. As you might imagine, he handled the situation with class.

been saying The Office should just end at the end of the season, Mindy possibily leaving too just further cements my opinion. first That's What She Said all but disappears from the show, now one of the main writers from the beginning is leaving? sort of a bad sign

Usually when actors and actress say they want to leave it's probably best to the show end.

jtrolio is the only one to actually grasp what Kaling leaving would mean, as a major writer she's shaped the show far more than Steve Carell has, her character is not the best but she started off as a writer and Kelly even being in the show was because they needed an ethnic minority character to hit Michael, but for that she would just have been one of the main writers and an executive producer.

Regardless of how you feel about Kelly Kapoor, don't forget that Kaling is also a writer and co-executive producer on the show. If she and Steve Carell are both gone we might be in for more change than we think...

One can only hope she does leave. Worst character on the show for me that gets the least amount of laughs next to Gabe.
