Is Pushing Daisies gone for good?

Ned and Chuck wait for word from ABC.

Oh boy this makes me mad. You know when someone does something to you that sucks, but ends the conversation with a promise of good things to come only to screw you over once again by not delivering? Well, it seems as though ABC may be pulling one of those on us.

We clenched our fists and gnashed our teeth when ABC murdered Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money, but were at least promised that the network would air their remaining episodes. Well, it's looking like there's a possibility that won't happen after all.

At least in Pushing Dasies' case, the final three episodes have disappeared from ABC's schedule. Creator Bryan Fuller, who I always refer to as a genius and shall again, told EW.com, "[The episodes] are not scheduled to air right now and that's all we know."

In fact, Fuller told EW that the 11th episode of Pushing Daisies was supposed to air last night, but ABC pulled it from the schedule at the last minute. Looks like they showed Homeland Security instead.

TVGuide.com, however, says ABC is contractually obligated to air the remaining episodes. Unfortunately, the site says the three may air back-to-back-to-back in one bunch, causing our HD-DVRs to explode.

A request for comment from ABC went unanswered as of press time.

Oh ABC, you just want us to be forced to buy the DVDs, don't you?

I so loved this show. I really don't understand why they had to cancale it. It has been such a long time since i was really interested in a show.

Pushing Daisies is such an underappreciated show. Just because Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy are ABC's top shows doesn't mean they should neglect their lesser shows but that's what it seems they are doing with this. Shame on you ABC you were top and now everyone is bitter at you.

I could never get interested in pushing daisies even though how many eps I watched. In the case of investigative (sort of) nature, pushing daisies is not the best.

Way to go ABC. That is NOT the way how one should treat its customers. "Pushing Daisies" was one of the most imaginative and original shows that have been produced recently and ABC treated it like trash ...and the fans also.

I get so ANGRY every time I think about how ABC is treating Pushing Daisies. Daisies was the most heart-warming, funny, well-crafted, well-acted and amazing show and it didn't get any support from ABC. They never advertised it, lumped it together with one of the worst new shows (Private Practice needs to be canned; Kate Walsh, you're better than this!), cancelled it last minute, yanked all evidence of it off their site and now they're not airing the last episodes! It's ridiculous and almost makes me want to just stop watching the network completely.

This is mos def an outrageous thing that ABC is planning and has planned on doing. First they murder the poor defenseless pie-man and his show, and then tease us w/ the final airings, and then blow it up in our faces with a big raspberry. Unforgettable!

Idiots!! Those ***ing ***s at ABC will notmake money out of the DVDs anyways -- WB will. ABC is losing money for nothing, they could make money by airign the remaining episodes BUT instead they decide to air a much lower rated Scrubs crap. Way to go!!!

Hey people!!! There are almose 80000 signatures on the Pushing Daisies petition. We may not get the show back on ABC, but who like ABC now anyway, but we could have another network pick it up or get a movie to finish the plot. LETS SHOW THEM WE CARE ABOUT DAISIES!!!! http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?daisies

I cant believe ABC want to ditch Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, I really enjoyed both of them. It was about time that there was more different programmes rather than relying on the regulars that have been airing for years. You can get bored of a good thing you know!!

leaving us with an ending like this? this is just cruel!!! the second season was indeed a little flat, but this last part was just purrrfect and i was biting my nails all the way, but now, left with no conclusion, i am just shocked and feeling totally betrayed!!!! AT LEAST GIVE US THE LAST 3 PARTS, ABCHOLES!

Hmm. I wonder if one of the giants (ABC) will fall. With the new upstart networks like FOX and CW, maybe there will not be room for the grand daddies anymore. Aw, what a shame it would be to lose ABC. They never cancel and good shows and only show the best entertainment. Blech I hate ABC.

ABC is running nothing anymore. The best thing they have is Homeland Security, because it is real and authentic. Other than that they have no good show and I will not watch them anymore.

ABC tut tut tut. I appreciate that you air Lost but guys come on. Hasn't Fuller had been throught enough? Dead Like Me cancelled by SHO when it was AMAZING! Wonderfalls cancelled by Fox when it was almost as amazing and now another genius show cancelled by ABC. This guy must think God hates him. He is one of the most gifted creators around and I love him. I just hope he can rescue Heroes from the pit of despair as it has suffered greatly without him.

Here is the website peeps. There are already 78000 names on the Pushing Daisies Petition that say they love Pushing Daisies and how foolish ABC was to take it off the air. We dont have to be complacent when it comes to telivision. The audience really does have the power. If we want a change WE have to make it happen. Please sign and tell them what you thing about the smartest and best show on TV in a really long time.

I think they pushed it back to this summer in hopes that all us PieHolers would just forget about it and stop talking about them taking it off the air. If they play the last few episodes now, we will remember why we love it so much and then speak up more about how crappy it is they pulled such an amazing show. Waiting till this summer was a strategic move. *** They want it to just die quietly. ***The thing is if all of us keep talking about it and keep these the most commented threads than it doesn't just die quietly. Keep talking, and don't let it go unnoticed. Log onto ABC and the SAVEPUSHINGDAISIES website. Speak up, be heard.

I loved this show! I just started watching it a couple months ago, and was very bummed about the cancellation. The only thing I will watch on ABC now is LOST.Oh well, at least we have new Reaper, Damages, Breaking Bad (in March), Confessions..call girl....., and LOST

If ABC has to show the episodes then they will drag it out as long as possible. They will wait until the summer, until no one wants to see them anymore. The thing that ABC isnt banking on is that there are still devotees to this show and they will watch it. ABC has the chance to go ahead with something good, end it on a high not, produce a TV movie and then make more money off it it.

This month's Total Film (UK film magazine) has this to say on the matter:"The final episodes ... will be reworked to give the series a more satisfying send-off when the last three shows air"Maybe that's the reason for the hold-up?I certainly hope so...

This is the only new show i like anymore. Heroes got to weird and i the only reason people don't watch this show is because they've never seen it.

I'll watch it when it returns to UK shores in March (well that's what I've read) however in US it is scandalous how they have treat the fans of the show - I say bring on a Pushing Daisies movie, this show deserves more recognition.

ABC, blows! Hopefully Chi McBride will get work on another show cus he is funnier than i ever knew. bring on the spinoff... "Lil Gumshoe". :D.

It just feels like Pushing Daisies, which is one the greatest shows from the past year, is being heavily raped by the network. I'm just glad Lost had a good four seasons under it's belt, because I would have hated to see this go through the same thing.

  • lesismore66

It is just awful that a fun and original show like Pushing Daisies is canceled. Who are these "Nielson rating viewers"? Idiots with no taste? Or mindless freaks who watch what they are told to watch? Are they paid off each week to keep crap on T.V. cause it is easy and cheap to film? (Sorry Homeland Security but really.....if I wanted to see this type of trash I would watch COPS) ABC...you are shortsighted fools to let a great show like this go away/
