Professional actor Christian Bale has twice famously slimmed down for a pair of feature film roles, dropping 63 pounds for The Machinist and another equivalent-to-a-small-child for Rescue Dawn. The media lauded his brave performance and commitment to the craft, but come on, losing weight? You barely even have to do anything to gain it back!
The real hero is Rob McElhenney, star of FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, who's porked-up to the tune 50-odd pounds for a heart-tugging-and-clogging storyline about Mac gaining weight. And finally, we get to see it.
The touching promo below reveals how the Paddy's gang deals with their pal's new health woes. Namely, with tears, fat jokes, and cookies. Lots of cookies.
Also, if you're interested, here's a very low-quality version of the second Season 7 promo, which takes an equally heavy but more Charlie-centric approach.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for Season 7 September 15 on FX.

Go find an online version of the promo or just don't mention it. Looks terrible to link to a youtube video of someone using a camcorder to tape a tv promo.
awesome =]
I cannot wait
Very interesting promo. Totally makes it feel like a different show.
I totally love that show! Looking forward to Season 7 :)
I pity those who do not understand the humour in IASIP. They have to settle for some cheap wannabe comedy like BBT.
