This classic sitcom is regarded by many to be the apex of the genre. With deft caricatures and pointed storytelling, this series raised the bar on jokes with a social conscience. Caroll O'Connor starred as Archie Bunker, the grouchy bigot who was really a softy inside. As the series unfolded, Archie learned a thing or two about people who are different and how his thinking may have been wrong. Fortunately, for the viewer, the poignancy was always undercut with a vicious joke at someone's expense. Many sitcoms could learn a lesson from All in the Family's distaste for maudlin antics (Raymond, anyone?).
A lot happens in season five: inflation causes Edith to get a job; The Jeffersons move to their deluxe apartment in the sky; and Meathead and Gloria decide to move out. This three-disc set contains all 25 episodes from season five, as well as the pilot for The Jeffersons. DVD extras include a special retrospective hosted by the late, great Henry Fonda.
Keep it All good with this DVD set.
This series is based on the film that starred James Caan and Mandy Patinkin, as two cops--one human, one alien. In the tradition of the best science fiction, Alien Nation mirrors reality and tells social truths in the guise of a fantastical setting. When aliens crash-land to Earth and are integrated into the human world, the results are predictable: bigotry, segregation, and mistrust of each others "different" ways. George Francisco is an alien cop and his human partner is Matthew Sikes. They patrol the beat in Los Angeles, and along the way they learn to respect for and care about each other.
This boxed six-disc set contains all 22 episodes of the television series. Also included is the two-hour TV movie pilot. DVD extras include an interview with Kenneth Johnson, creator of the classic series V and a producer of the Alien Nation series, and an exciting behind-the-scenes featurette!

It's Paladin, the lone wolf with a curly mustache who dresses in black and lives in the shadows.
Richard Boone embodied the character of Paladin in this classic Western series. Paladin is sort of like a cowboy Equalizer, leaving business cards that say only "Have Gun, Will Travel...Wire Paladin, San Francisco." With that, folks in need hire the mysterious loner, who lives at the Hotel Carleton in San Francisco, for many odd jobs, including bounty hunter, sleuth, bodyguard, and courier. Paladin has a gun, but he prefers to use his mind, which makes for twisty plots and unexpected denouements.
This seven-disc set includes all 39 episodes from season three of this classic series. Thrill to Paladin's exploits as he and his manservant, Hey Boy, enter worlds of mystery and intrigue. DVD extras include production notes, cast biographies, and behind-the-scenes peeks. Guest stars in this season are Jack Lord, Charles Bronson, Angie Dickenson, Claude Akins, Strother Martin, Mike Connors, and June Lockhart.
Have Gun, will be entertained!
Harry was too "dirty" for TV, but that didn't stop networks from making a show with a cop who looked a lot like Clint Eastwood and who was kind of a toe-stepping jerk. That show was Hunter.
Former Los Angeles Ram Fred Dryer plays Rick Hunter, a cop with an attitude who blows up cars in downtown and gets city hall breathing down his captain's neck. What's more, Hunter's family is involved in organized crime, so cops don't trust him. Now, his captain says he has to see a shrink and get a partner. Hunter signs on with Dee Dee McCall, a tough-as-nails gal who doesn't take any guff. Together, they bust crime and get into trouble, TV-show style.
This three-disc set contains all 22 episodes from season three. Charles Hallahan and Garrett Morris costar as series regulars, and guest stars include George Clooney, Anthony LaPaglia, Chaka Khan, Brent Spiner, Claudia Christian, Dean Stockwell, Marina Sirtis, Candy Clark, Leif Garrett, Leslie Hope, Larenz Tate, Larry Drake, and Lauren Tewes. There are no extras, but you better not complain or Hunter will knock your teeth out!
Your "hunt" for good viewing is over!
This British show touched many hearts during its lovely run, and now the main players return for a warm reunion. As Time Goes By Reunion Special stars Dame Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer in the roles in which people loved them.
The romance of Jean and Lionel continues its delightfully whimsical trajectory as Jean Pargetter (Dench) pines away for grandchildren. Her husband Lionel (Palmer) is utterly dismayed by the revelation, but handles it in typical Lionel fashion. Son-in-law Alistair and daughter Judy are having marital problems, so the picture isn't too rosy. However, when Sandy and her husband, Harry, return from Canada, Jean's wish for grandchildren may come true.
This DVD includes both episodes of the As Time Goes By Reunion Special. Time may have gone by, but your love for this era-spanning romance has never dimmed.

Hup, Hup, Hike...down to the store to catch some great viewing with this HBO comedy series. In the tradition of North Dallas Forty and other sports comedies, this series shows the lighter side of getting smashed up on the gridiron.
When the California Bulls, a fictional pro football team, get a new owner, it's a little more than the team can take, because he is a she! The big guys don't take too kindly to being bossed around by a lady, and when she enters the locker room...watch out! You'll have to keep track of the laughs on a scoreboard when the wacky hijinks involving drugs, womanizing, and ungentlemanly behavior ensue!
There are two versions available, Season One and Season Two. Each set includes two discs with six episodes each. Little is known about the special features, but with a show like this, the whole thing is special.
