Jennifer Aniston, who recently underwent a very public divorce from movie heartthrob Brad Pitt, appeared Monday on The Oprah Winfrey Show and told a supportive audience that she was healing nicely and was ready to move on with her life.
The Good Girl star, who is promoting her upcoming film The Break Up, in which she costars with pal Vince Vaughn, blamed the media for continuing to stoke the flames of global obsession with the Pitt-Aniston split.
"It's the media that won't move on. You just want to say, 'Come on, people! Turn a page!'" Aniston said in a manner reminiscent of Rachel Green, her character from Friends.
While the media continues to focus on Pitt and his romance with Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie, Aniston insisted she wasn't focused at all on the pair. She said she was feeling great and not "sitting somewhere dwelling on the past. I'm not fretting or obsessing about something in the future. [I'm] trying to pick up the pieces in the midst of this media circus."
One of the allegations the three-ring media circus has pulled out of a little teeny car is that Aniston and Vaughn have been romantically intimate while filming The Break Up in Chicago. Both actors have fervently denied the rumor.
When Oprah asked Aniston if she was ready for a new beau, Aniston mugged a look at her watch and exclaimed "Yes!"
Vince Vaughn or not, Aniston is clearly over this Break Up.
