A 48-year-old man named David Hesterbey was arrested Thursday, August 25, after allegedly trespassing in the home of actress Jennifer Aniston. He apparently took a taxi from Santa Barbara to Malibu, entered Aniston's abode through an unlocked door, wandered into the house, and upon encountering an employee declared that he was "looking for Jennifer."
When a second employee approached the intruder, he fled the house, leaped over a fence, and headed for the beach, where authorities quickly apprehended him. Hesterbey was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and is being held in custody in lieu of $500 bail.
The Friends star was fortunately not home during the incident; she is in Chicago shooting her new movie, The Breakup. She is, however, experiencing similar problems on the film's set and was forced to hire extra security last week after someone broke into her trailer and absconded with several bras and pairs of underwear. The items later surfaced on eBay, but the thief has not yet been found.
Aniston's trailer now has 24-hour protection, and she is said to be considering an increase in security at her home.
