The actress confirmed the rumors that have been spreading about her departure to Idol host Ryan Seacrest, telling Seacrest during his syndicated morning radio show that "The time has come." The time for what, you ask? In her interview she alluded that her kids played a vital part in her decision, along with the desire to get back to "the other things" that she does. But there are so many "other things" to choose from that it's hard to predict what she'll focus on next.
Rumors are already surfacing that suggest Randy Jackson, who's been with the show since its debut, may also walk. The departure would prompt producers to consider an entirely new look for the show, which could make or break its winning ratings streak.
I'm truly going to miss Tyler. J.Lo less so, but hey girl, do your thing. If Randy leaves too and young'uns like Miley Cyrus take over, well, I doubt I'll be alone in ditching the show for good.
