What is the deal with marriage? That's a question that Jerry Seinfeld has been asking himself, and will soon be asking everyone else. The comedian is coming back to a regular television project for the first time since Seinfeld went off the air--however, he won't be starring in the new show… nor will it be a regular comedy.
Seinfeld has reached a deal with NBC to produce a new reality show titled The Marriage Ref, the network announced today. Before you groan about Seinfeld working in reality television, know that it won't be the typical unscripted fare that has plagued television.
"This is not a therapy show, it's a comedy show," Seinfeld said in a statement. "After nine years of marriage, I have discovered that the comedic potential of this subject is quite rich."
In The Marriage Ref, couples will bring their marital problems to the public and will take advice from "refs," various celebrities, comedians, and sports stars that will decide who is right and who is wrong in the disputes.
Well, this certainly sounds... I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. Anyone else see this becoming a primetime version of one of those VH1 I Love the '80s things?

Dumbest idea ever!
Wish he would be infront of the camera's in a comedy show, sitcoms are terrible these days
More reality - just what we don't need, especially from him.
i though if him came back he will be in a good comedy show not this crap
Why the hell would he do this?
Sounds funny!
My God, Jerry has stooped to a new low ever since he made a disappearance into what seemed like obscurity.
why in gods name are they letting him back on tv? i hated seinfeld
Sounds really stupid.
