Jessica Alba, Jack Black visiting The Office

Ha ha, you were expecting a picture of
Jessica. Here's Cloris, suckers!

NBC has had a rough few years... Let's sum it up with two words: Knight Rider. But things are about to turn around for the fourth-place network, because this year it has the Super Bowl! OK, maybe they'll turn around for just one night, but they're making it quite an extravaganza. An extr-Alba-ganza!

Super-hottie Jessica Alba (Idle Hands made me a man) will be guest-starring on an extra-special episode of The Office, which will follow the Super Bowl early next year. The one-hour episode will air immediately after the pigskin classic, guaranteeing record ratings for the comedy cornerstone of NBC's Thursday nights.

Joining Alba will be funnyman (sorta) Jack Black (Tropic Thunder, Tenacious D) and, according to Zap2It.com, Dancing With the Stars' loony octogenarian Cloris Leachman. Unfortunately, they won't be headed to Scranton. Instead, all three actors will be part of a bootleg movie that the Dunder-Mifflin offices are trying to watch during work.

It would be cool to see Alba and company strutting their stuff around the offices (can you imagine Dwight talking to Alba about Dark Angel?), but we'll just have to settle for a faux-movie. Will you be tuning in after the Super Bowl? Or will you be watching The Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet HD, like I will?

The Office is a great show and I see the Superbowl as a great avenue to get more people tuning in. The Office can mess this opportunity up, this ep has to be of the highest quality.

They should air the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet during the half-time show. That way, I wouldn't have to watch another 100-year old rocker perform; I could just change the channel until it's over, then get back to the commercials...oops! I mean game.

The Puppy Bowl is cute for like 5 minutes. Then it becomes lame.

I don't like the sound of this. In extra features of Season 4, writer's asked audience what they thought of celebrity guests and everyone booed. I booed with them; but independently agreed that if they handled it correctly, it would be just fine. The whole "bootleg video," is probably their way of "cheating," the whole no celebrity guest rule and it doesn't sound entertaining. I'll still watch it, of course, The Office rocks. But it'll be puckered hoping they don't screw it up.

Sounds like it will be fun. Maybe I'll actually watch this episode! Love Cloris (aka Frau Blücher) since I first saw her in Young Frankenstein & how can you not like Jack Black or the always wonderful Jessica. I'll watch her in anything, even those horrible Fantastic 4 movies!

Wow! That's really lame that there in a bootleg film instead of characters in the show, but still. I'm a big Jack Black fan and Cloris Leachman too.
