Joan Rivers has always been known to make her voice heard. The outspoken celebrity has made a career out of her mouth, whether it's yapping about fashion on the red carpet or guest-hosting talk shows, but today her maw got her in trouble.
Rivers was in the UK to make a guest appearance on the women's chit-chatter Loose Women--a sort of British version of The View--and it took less than a minute for her to shock some viewers.
When asked by one of the hosts whether she enjoyed chatting up celebrities as a job, Rivers replied, "When they're nice... When you get someone like Russell Crowe, you want to say to the camera, 'He is a piece of--get ready to bleep this--f***ing s***!" The table of ladies immediately began laughing and apologized to viewers.
What Rivers didn't know was that the show was live...not on a seven-second-delay live, but live live. Nearly 50 complaints came pouring into the show's station, and when the show returned from its next commercial break, Rivers was no longer on set.
A clip of the show, complete with Rivers' uncensored jab at Crowe, has already made its way to YouTube (Warning--video contains strong language...but it's funny so it's worth it!).
"I have won an Emmy, been nominated for a Tony award, done every show, and become an icon, and when people ask me what is left in my career, I have always said I don't know, but I have never been forcibly thrown out of a TV studio," she told The Guardian. "It is another milestone."
Rivers isn't the only golden girl to get busted for blue language this year. In February, Jane Fonda blurted out the C-word on Today, bringing up the discussion of what is offensive and what isn't.

haha who cares. too pc, but really, why such a big deal?
Who cares, she'll probably have some plastic surgery therapy, and all will be forgotten
What did they expect from her, she is Joan Rivers.
I'm sorry, i'm an argentinian. Which is the "C" word?
I think that's ridiculous, she shouldn't be kicked out of the show because of it
Why is this such a big deal? People swear on live TV all the time in the UK - all the presenters have to do is apologise to cover themselves and everyone moves on. Most kids should have been in school when it aired anyways - its not like it was the evening before the watershed.
GET A LIFE.... !!! omg booted off a show for saying the f word on a women's show.
get a f***ing grip!!! i bet most of the people who called in t complain call their kids little f***ing C***s anyway lol
like kids watch "loose chatter". who cares. get over it.
we need to abolish the FCC. this fascist crap makes me want to puke!
Joan Rivers used the "F" word, so what else is new? Give me some news I can use.
I say we need more swearing on live tv. why not kids already swear anyway, and its a part of everyday life.
"Think of the children! Will someone PLEASE think of the children!" Mrs. Lovejoy
LEAVE JOAN ALONE! *whines*
LIKE WE NEVER HEARD THAT WORD...BEFORE!!! WHAT'S INTERESTING...IS THE PHONEY WITCHES SITTING NEXT TO HER, THAT ''PRETEND'' THEY NEVER.. HEARD IT BEFORE. AT THE SAME TIME SHOWING MASSIVE-SAGGING BOOBAGE. HERE'S WHAT I'M AGAINST... SHOWS THAT ARE REALLY JUST PORN...SHOWING DURING THE ONES I WRITE FOR NETWORKS!!! THAT [F-ING] REALLY PISSES ME OFF..........
Please, even children recognize bleeps as substitutes for curse words. So Joan ripped one out. Maybe a simple, "Hey Joan!" should do. Just because bad language is prevalent doesn't make it an excuse, still something blurted is nothing to complain about. Planned speeches or long tirades are different, they need to be addressed.
ah who cares?
Oh leave Joan alone, that's who she is, she calls 'em as she sees 'em. I bet if it were a guy saying it would not be a big deal. I say you go girl!
Please . . . we have cartoon characters spouting naughty words and being in very adult situations, not to mention all the gore and obscenities hurled at us on TV dramas and the like, so an unguarded obscenity is hardly worth noting, especially one that was in the UK where they are notorious for foul-language, nudity, etc.
With all the problems in the world, I'd hardly give this one a second glance (why is it that we care more about four-lettered WASPisms, and less about wars, crime, gangs, social issues, natural disasters, and, at least in the USA, choosing a Democratic presidential candidate who has even less experience than GWB before he took office?).
P.S. Loved the photo's caption, but, tell me how is that no-talent people can get multi-million dollar commercials, TV programs, and other deals? Sounds like SOMEbody's a wee bit envious, eh?moreless
