Nurse Hathaway is going from the OR to the LR.
Julianna Margulies, who won an Emmy for her portrayal of Nurse Carol Hathaway on the long-running NBC series ER, has signed on for the Sci Fi Channel's limited series The Lost Room. Margulies will play a woman whose brother possesses a key to a different dimension.
Margulies has experience in the sci-fi/fantasy genre, having appeared in the film Ghost Ship. This year she has portrayed a realtor who mingles with the mob on the HBO drama The Sopranos. Soon, she'll be seen in the upcoming action-thriller, Snakes On A Plane.
Margulies joins already-cast Peter Krause, who plays a detective trying to piece together the secret of the Room. Also in the cast is Roger Bart, who played the insane pharmacist George in Desperate Housewives.
On July 18, Sci Fi Channel premiered its series Eureka, which earned the best ratings for a pilot the cable net has seen. Last Friday, at the annual Comic Con event in San Diego, thousands of fans had to be turned away from the "Sci Fi Friday" panel hosted by Eureka's Colin Ferguson.
The Lost Room is set to air in December.

I agree....I thought she was going to join a show that people had heard of....the one on ABC, LOST, not Lost Room. The title should have been Juliana Margulies gets Lost in a Room, interesting and accurate
