K-Bell heads to Rome

When Veronica Mars was canceled by the CW last June (we'll pause while you wipe away the tears), every casting agent in Hollywood immediately tried to grab the show's star, Kristen Bell, for their next projects.

There's been no shortage of work for the young starlet, who has since appeared as a new character in Heroes, lent her voice and image to the video game Assassin's Creed, provided the voice of the narrator in Gossip Girl, and will be featured in the upcoming movies Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Fanboys.

The hectic work schedule will continue for the busy blonde, as Bell has signed on to star in the upcoming Disney movie When in Rome, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The romantic comedy will see Bell play a woman looking for love who happens to steal some coins from a fountain while on vacation in Rome. When she returns to her home in New York City, she finds several aggressive suitors--who happened to be the previous owners of said coins.

Speaking of leading ladies who have captured the hearts of the American-television-watching world, last week it was revealed that Anna Friel would be joining the cast of the feature-film adaptation of Land of the Lost. Friel, who currently stars as the nondead Charlotte (aka "Chuck") in Pushing Daisies, will star opposite Will Farrell in the film.

Land of the Lost will be loosely based on the 1970s show of the same name, which followed a family that was mysteriously transported to a prehistoric world.
