Celebrating 20 consecutive years on the air, Getaway gives viewers tips on how to enjoy themselves on family-friendly holidays every Thursday evening.
Putting the icing on top of the show's 20th anniversary cake, Aussie pop sensation Ceberano will bring a great deal of travel experience -- 25 years of touring the world -- to the program this year.
"Travelling as much as I have throughout my career -- I just love it. But the one thing I've always longed for is a witness, someone to say, 'Hey are you seeing what I'm seeing?' I can't wait," Ceberano said.
The program's executive producer John Walsh shares the singer's enthusiasm of the partnership.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Kate's calibre joining the show. She is one of the warmest, best-loved entertainers in Australia and I think the Getaway audience is really going to love her," Walsh said.
Ceberano will be joining Getaway presenters Catriona Rowntree, Natalie Gruzlewski, Kelly Landry, Jules Lund, Dermott Brereton and Jason Dundas for two episodes. She began filming her first domestic story yesterday, and is set to fly out in late February to do her first international story.
From what we have heard, the international episode will see the acclaimed musician follow her family heritage to Hawaii and the Philippines, and also join Dundas to visit Disneyland and Disney World in the United States.
Taking things up another notch, former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins will also join the team as a guest reporter later on this year.
Filing stories from the United States, Tahiti and England, Hawkins looks forward to her new job with a great deal of excitement and eagerness.
While it is unclear when exactly the guests will appear on the show, you can expect them to provide expert travel advice on the best holiday destinations and leisure activities for Australian audiences.
Getaway airs 7.30pm Thursdays on Nine.
