Kyle Chandler Just Resurrected Friday Night Lights' Coach Taylor for the Big Screen

Coming soon to a cinema near you: Kyle Chandler as Coach Eric Taylor!

Wait, let me try that again. I forgot some words.

Coming soon to an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema near you: Kyle Chandler as Coach Eric Taylor in a new Friday Night Lights-themed PSA.

The actor recently reprised his role as the most perfect human in the world for the Austin, Texas-based theater chain in a video that warns against the dangers of interrupting Coach's inspirational speech with your texting. If this is the closest we'll ever get to revisiting the wonderful world of Dillon, Texas and Friday Night Lights, we'll take it! Check it out below:

Texas forever!

I wish I was old enough and up to date to watch this series episode by episode & slowly absorb it's wonderful drama back in 06-11. At 19, just saw the whole series in almost 2 weeks now, & despite being in awe of every single moment of it's drama and comedy, I wish I kinda hadn't - coz I know there'll never be something as good :( . So many amazing scenes with the typical Tim Riggins or the Taylors or Saracen & etc... the sheer enormity of emotion captured by the sheer character size is probably unmatched. This was the peak. Guess I'll have to rejoice in the fact that there is something as good as this out there. I haven't ever thought about re watching a series.. but this is DEFINITELY something I'll be REWATCHING soon later on.
Hate the feeling of such withdrawals. Till then, Someone please recommend something as good or similar!!!

I just finished watching entire series on Netflix; have loved Kyle Chandler since Early Edition and now on Bloodline; he is like a fine wine, improves with age. Don't know how I missed FNL when it was on, other than I'm not a big fan of football; that being said, what a GREAT series; Kyle Chandler always shines, always. This show was so well written, cast and filmed; can't really find anything wrong with it. I was pleasantly surprised; but in retrospect, I don't know why I would ever doubt the talent of Kyle Chandler. Can't wait for the next season of Bloodline.

It could have been worse; it could have included the commie-lib who played his wife in the series!

Well that was better than expected - thought it would be some hackneyed ad - so funny, Kyle Chandler can never disappoint

NOW EVERYONE GO AND WATCH BLOODLINE ON NETFLIX (Now that was hackneyed)

I've just spent the best two weeks of my life watching Friday Night Lights on Netflix for the first time. And then I see this.

Clear Eyes, Full Heart, CAN'T LOSE

What the hell do I do now with my life. I've peaked.

Welcome to the sadness of a post-FNL existence. :( The only thing you can do is watch it again.

Sorry if I don't like when a decent website with good reviewers stoops to buzzfeed level titling. It's bad journalism for the sole purpose of getting page views.

Clickbait or cheeky? I've lost count of the number of times a tongue in cheek title has been used for a posting that isn't quite what people presumed it would be. It happens here fairly often, so one would think you'd be used to it by now, or moved on to another site.

I dunno, with all of the things in the world worth getting upset over, this sure doesn't seem like one of them :)

I'm not sure why you're trying to invalidate my opinion by trying to make me seem more upset than I am. If you disagree then disagree. No need to be condescending.

That title stated 100% facts though, how would you have put it?

Are you serious? How about "Friday Night Light's Coach Taylor in PSA at Alamo Drafthouse". This title clearly makes it seem like a movie is being adapted starring Chandler as Coach Taylor. It's pure clickbait.
