Spike TV has ordered the masculinely titled eight-hour miniseries The Kill Pit. The drama follows a bank robbery that goes bad, resulting in a tense police standoff and a hostage situation.
John Leguizamo plays the leader of the bank robbers, ex-US soldiers who have returned from Iraq. The ER actor is currently filming the movie version of the Gabriel García Márquez novel Love in the Time of Cholera.
Spike TV is home to the equally man-centric Blade TV series, as well as The Ultimate Fighter.
I agree Laura I am definetely looking forward to this one.
Most of it may not be good, but at least Spike is attempting something with the original programming. Good for them.
John Leguizamo is totally under-rated.
