Seriously, Leslie Jones Should Do The Amazing Race

Over the course of its 30 seasons, The Amazing Race has featured numerous contestants who were famous for something else before they went on the global scavenger hunt, such as YouTube star Tyler Oakley, screenwriter and director Mike White, and current season contestants Cedric Ceballos and Shawn Marion, who both played small forward for the Phoenix Suns.

But there are even bigger stars who have expressed interest in competing on the show, according to host Phil Keoghan, including a current SNL star.

"At the Emmys, Leslie Jones came up to me and said 'Phil, I want to be on The Amazing Race,'" Keoghan tells TV Guide. "'I'm dead serious about this. I want to be on The Amazing Race.'"

He thinks she'd be "absolutely hysterical," and we agree. We would watch Leslie Jones do just about anything, and traveling the world would be high on the list of things she could make funny.

Olympics Superfan Leslie Jones Will Cover the Games for NBC

Other stars who Keoghan has heard would be down for an adventure include Billy Crystal, Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Barrymore and Neil Patrick Harris.

But he's not sure pampered A-listers would be able to handle it. Shooting 12 shows in 21 days and traveling more than 50,000 miles with no assistants or Evian waters? He's skeptical.

You know who could handle it? Leslie Jones. She's been doing stand-up for 30 years. With the amount that she's traveled and conditions she's worked in, she's basically already done The Amazing Race several times over without a camera crew. Seriously, Lorne Michaels, give her three weeks off to shoot The Amazing Race. We'd all be better for it.

The Amazing Race airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
