Trust us, there's a gun in his hand.
Things may not be hunky-dory at NBC, which is seeing many of its shows disappoint in the ratings department despite loads of promotion (I'm looking at you, Knight Rider!). However, one show that hasn't had the benefit of massive marketing pushes but still performs OK is Life--and late last week that show was rewarded.
NBC has ordered a full season of Life, according to The Hollywood Reporter, meaning Damian Lewis will continue to portray one of television's most interesting characters, Charlie Crews. Life will add nine more episodes to its 13-episode order for a total of 22 in its second season.
Life follows Detective Crews after he returns to the force from a wrongful 12-year incarceration in the pen. His unorthodox police methods are magnified by his newfound practice of Zen and penchant for exotic fruit and when he's not cuffing murder suspects, he's hunting down the people who had him locked up. Also starring in Life are Donal Logue (Knights of Prosperity) and Sarah Shahi, who tones it down to just "incredibly hot" to play Crews' partner.
NBC previously gave full-season pickups to Knight Rider and Kath & Kim, as well as a full-season to Chuck before the second season even aired.
After being juggled around NBC's schedule, Life has settled into Wednesday nights at 9 p.m.

Love the show not only the star, but the cast is just perfect for their roles. Hope to enjoy this show for many years to come. Love it.
good to know its to stay on for a second season. I like quirky characters and Charlie Crews is definitely one to watch. Its My second favorite show. oops, now it will be my first since life on mars is getting axed. Adam Arkin, and Damien Lewis are always worth watching whatever the role. great actors. They make this show. I bought season one and will buy em all till its over. Thanks nbc for knowing what youve got before its gone. Give abc a few pointers on that subject.
Have watched "Life" since the beginning and I place it among my top 5 shows. Loved the recent episode "Trapdoor" Anybody know where I can get the song "Together" by the Khromozomes (played during the scene at Roman's club)

Lewis is one great character who seems to be a natural. Impressed that NBC has added enough episodes to complete the season. Haven't found anyone who doesn't love the show for its merits. Thank you.
Finally, NBC shows they still have a bit of sense. But I think that after giving a full order to Knight Rider, they're obligated to order full seasons of ALL of their shows, because that seriously lowered the standards.

Yes! thank you NBC, this is one of your best shows (well just this and the office really) so I say the more the merrier. Now the next smart move will be to give the thumbs up to a season 3
Thank god ! another great show get what it deserved. I hope that , over here, in the Netherlands the Tv station is buying the second season. We already got a load of s**t dutch series/ reality shows. For instance Battlestar (2003) is aired at +/- 03.30 AM and two years ago Supernatural was stopped after 5 episodes, it's first season is now reairing at a different station. So keep on watching GREAT shows dear Americans so that we over here get decent shows.

This is surprising. I've never actually been able to watch it, but it looks like a good show, and usually they get canceled!
This is just great news. One really good (and underrated) show on NBC -- thank goodness they picked this one up for the entire season. Getting the move the Wednesday (from the dreaded purgatory of Friday night) & the full season pickup should help the ratings.
