Actress Heather Locklear, a sex symbol on shows such as Melrose Place, Spin City, and Dynasty, has checked herself into an Arizona medical clinic for treatment of anxiety and depression, Reuters reports.
"Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression," a representative for Locklear told the news service today. "She requested an in depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment."
That's all the media is going to get on the situation from Locklear's camp, according to the rep. No other information beyond that official statement will be released, as they are treating it as a confidential matter.
The 46-year-old blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty has been through two high-profile divorces, one with Motley Crue's Tommy Lee and one with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. She's also been in the news more recently for off-camera reasons, including a public feud with former friend Denise Richards and a 911 call from a doctor claiming she was suicidal.
Locklear is currently dating former Melrose Place costar Jack Wagner.

Anybody who is smart enough to seek treatment when they need it, is to be applauded. Regardless of where their depression, anxiety or whatever comes from.

Good for her, anxiety and depression is a nasty curse to bear. I don't know her but I'm proud of her for seeking the help she think she needs.
