8 p.m., FOX

American Idol

It's time for the Hollywood rounds to begin—and for Ellen DeGeneres to make her debut as the fourth judge. Who cares about the Top 24? I want to see Ellen and Simon snark it up.

9 p.m., CNBC

Business Model: Inside the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Learn about the business behind SI's most famous issue of the year, see how photo shoots are set up, hear from models about the scouting process—oh yeah, and enjoy some scantily-clad eye candy while you're at it. If this special isn't enough, you can always watch David Letterman unveil this year's cover on the Late Show at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.

9 p.m., ABC

Lost

Kate (Evangeline Lilly) is on the run, as usual, and Jack (Matthew Fox) puts a friend's life in danger.

Series premiere, 9 p.m., FOX

Past Life

This new drama tackles the concept of reincarnation within the procedural crime drama format, as psychologist Kate McGinn (Kelli Giddish) and former NYPD detective Price Whatley (Nicholas Bishop) team up to help people deal with traumatic events from their "past lives." In the premiere, a teenager remembers an abduction-murder from his past life.

10 p.m., ABC

The Forgotten

Christian Slater et al return from their winter hiatus with a hot new cast member (Elisha Cuthbert!) and a mysterious new case that takes them into the world of parkour. Too bad Slater wasn't on that episode of The Office instead.

10 p.m., A&E;

Paranormal State

The team travels to Pine Barrens, New Jersey to learn about the legendary Jersey Devil. No word yet on whether or not Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will reveal his true identity.
