Lost, Gossip Girl add cast

Gossip Girl and Lost--the two shows couldn't be more different from each other. But there is one thing they do have in common...the power to make previous unknown actors become household names almost overnight.

Both shows have added to their paparazzi worthy casts over the past few days, and now it's time to learn who will be the next big names in television.

Lost producers have signed Zuleikha Robinson to play the role of the previously announced Ilana, says EW.com. London-born Robinson was last seen on the short-lived New Amsterdam playing star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's partner Eva Marquez. She also appeared on HBO's Rome and played alongside Kal Penn in The Namesake.

Early last month, casting calls revealed that Lost was adding two important characters in this upcoming season, Caesar and Ilana. Ilana is described as a European woman in her late 20s or early 30s with some brains. Caesar is yet to be cast.

From the South Pacific we move to the Upper East Side. The Cleaner's John Patrick Amedori is joining Gossip Girl as the new boy who makes Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) mutter "OMFG," according to E! Online. Fans of the books will recognize the character, Aaron Rose, as an artsy type of dude.

Ready to be a bad influence on Jenny Humphrey is Willa Holland, who will play 16-year-old model Agnes for three episodes. Holland is best known as The O.C.'s Kaitlin Cooper.

Let's hear it, Lost and Gossip Girl fans--are these good casting choices? Also, any of you out there big fans of both shows?

Hopefully the new characters work out on LOST and can serve a perpose... instead of being run into the ground like Nikki and Paulo.

I mean most new characters have worked out really well, so here's hoping.

So Gossip Girl...

Minorities still don't exsist outside of VERY minor roles in your universe?

Nothing against you Lost fans, but New Amsterdam never should've been cancelled to create this opportunity.

Good casting for GG. Willa will fit right in. Lost is better for 'unknown' actors that haven't been typecast or overexposed so the story is highlighted.

I'm with sopieaddict23 - Lost isnt about people lost on an island, its about the audience being lost and having no clue what's going on. Noone cares anymore.

Willa joining GG on the other hand, now that's exciting news. Not sure who the guy is but we'll know him soon enough.

Great Gossip Girl News!! I never care about casting decisions for Lost as it already has great characters and as the only adjective they use to describe newcomers as is 'mysterious' i never get too interested.

That's amazing--when I first heard that Gossip Girl was becoming a TV show, Willa Holland was the only person I could picture as Blair. Now I think Leighton Meester was the perfect casting choice, but Willa Holland will be a fantastic guest star--loved her on the OC!

Josh Schwartz seems to use put actors from The O.C. into Chuck or Gossip Girl so I knew Willa Holland would follow in the steps of Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke eventually. Maybe we'll see Benjamin McKenzie and Adam Brody in the future too.
