Lost re-animates character

**Minor spoiler inside--read at your own risk!**

Just because someone dies on a television show, it doesn't mean they are lost forever. For example, soap operas use the old "evil twin brother" trick to bring actors back, Heroes can check back in with the dead thanks to Hiro Nakamura's time-traveling power, and Lost can revisit the deceased through its trademark flashbacks.

And that's just what Lost will do in this upcoming season, which begins in February. According to TVGuide.com, actress Cynthia Watros will reprise her role as Libby, one of the second group of survivors of the plane crash of Oceanic 815. Libby first appeared in the show in season two, and was a romantic interest for Hugo "Hurley" Reyes (Jorge Garcia).

Watros, a former Emmy-Award winner for her work on Guiding Light, will reportedly appear in multiple episodes in order to complete her storyline with Hurley.

Flashing back won't be new for Watros--Libby previously appeared in a pair of characters' flashbacks on Lost. She gave Desmond Hume her late husband's boat for his round-the-world race, and was also a patient at the same mental hospital that Hurley was in.

This isn't the first time that main characters that died on the island have guest-starred in flashbacks. Boone Carlyle (Ian Somerhalder) and Shannon Rutherford (Maggie Grace) have also been given new life through Lost flashbacks.
