Lost Reunion at USA! An Island Alum Lands the Lead in Carlton Cuse's Alien Drama Pilot Colony

For those of you still lamenting the disappearance of Josh Holloway's handsome visage from your TV screens in the wake of CBS canceling Intelligence, this  news might cheer you up.

The actor, who's best known for playing Sawyer on Lost, is reuniting with Lost co-creator Carlton Cuse for Colony, a new alien drama pilot Cuse is working on at USA, the network announced Friday.

Set in the far-in-the-future year of 2015, Colony follows characters living in Los Angeles, which exists in a state of alien occupation. Some people collaborate with the authorities, while others rebel and suffer the consequences.

Holloway will play lead character Will Bowman, a former FBI agent who, in order to protect his family, will join forces with the government to bring down a growing resistance movement. He'll have to make difficult choices as he attempts to balance keeping his family together with the simple act of surviving in a world where humans aren't in charge anymore.

The project is written and executive-produced by Cuse and Ryan Condal (Hercules). It marks the first time Cuse and Holloway have worked together since Lost ended in 2010.

Would you watch Colony?

Sounds familiar, Elizabeth Mitchell's role in V (2009)
"Erica Evans is a top agent with the FBI's Counter Terrorism Division. She can be considered the main protagonist of the series. She is a single mother doing the best she can raising Tyler, her troubled teenaged son. After the Visitors arrive, Erica gets caught up in the greatest conspiracy and toughest fight of her life, to save humanity and to keep her son safe."

Yes I would watch it. Carlton Cuse is a great writer and Josh Holloway was my favourite character last time I binge-watched Lost. Cheers

Even though it's not good if an actor would just mimic a past role, Josh really needs to put as much of Sawyer into this next one. He was really bad in Intelligence and I hate to say that since I'm such a fan. Just wooden really and not his style. Wishing the best on this project.

I will always give anything science fiction-y a chance! At least an ep... or the very first act. you know... then after that...

Oh good, it'll be like V all over again. With any luck, it could throw in some Falling Skies elements and we'll have yet another bland alien invasion rehash. Hopefully they'll at least have some really cool aliens this time around.

As soon as I started reading the premise of the show, I immediately thought of V. Here's hoping this one does better.

I don't trust the writers/producers of Lost at all... but I am interested in seeing Josh Holloway get some better roles, so I suppose I'll give it the four episode test when it airs.

This sounds a lot like Defiance. I really like Holloway and I've been waiting for him to be apart of a great show but I'm not so sure about this. USA is very similar to CBS, in that their shows are all interchangeable paint by the numbers garbage.

I like the actor but hate the premise. I'm pretty tired of the V / Earth Final Conflict stories. I suppose it's POSSIBLE it will be done well, but I doubt it.

How does Carlton Cuse can do all this?
He is working with Bates Motel. then the Strain, the Returned and now this?
I prefer Damon that sticks to whats he is doing and does the writing too (the Leftovers). Still I do enjoy Bates Motel and cant wait for the Returned remake.

I hear Matthew Fox really needs the work. Terry O'Quinn just lost another show. Dominic Monaghan is unemployed. We could steal Henry Ian Cusack from the CW.

Hmmmm
