Daniel Dae Kim has been cast in the
Hawaii Five-0 remake
CBS told The Honolulu Advertiser that the actor - who plays Jin in the plane crash drama - will portray detective Chin Ho Kelly, who was originally played by the late Kam Fong.
A CBS spokeswoman said filming on the Hawaii Five-0 pilot is expected to begin in March.
Hawaii Five-0 aired from 1968 to 1980 and starred Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett. So far there's no word on who will play McGarrett in the remake.
I loved the original too. But the Hawaiian scenery is going to look awesome in HDTV. And c'mon not counting Mission Impossible it had the best theme song ever! If the writing is anywhere as good as the original, I can't wait to see it!
Agreed, Sandbur....this is one show that shouldn't be remade.
I've heard Alex O'Loughlin's name bandied about for McGarrett. I like Alex...a lot...but I wish they'd have left t his particular icon alone. Some things just shouldn't be remade...
