What to watch on Thursday, June 2.
Remember a few weeks back when it seemed like there were TOO MANY shows on Thursday nights? Welcome to the new world order, it's a wacky, upside-down place where there are only, like, three things on, tops. You make the call:
SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, NBC
Love Bites
With a title like this, it sort of seems like this show should be about vampires, but I don't think it is. Instead, it's just loosely connected romantic tales. Tonight's vignettes include one about Becki Newton's angst over being the last remaining single lady in her group of friends. Because Becki Newton being unlucky in love seems very realistic to me.
8pm, Fox
So You Think You Can Dance
More auditions, more heartbreak, more joyful cartwheels, and hopefully more Mary Murphy banshee wails. Tonight's the fifth round of auditions for our dancer hopefuls, and let's hope we meet some good'uns!
SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 12am, Cartoon Network
Childrens Hospital
If you were hoping to smile this summer, here's your best bet for making it happen. Tune in tonight for the return of one of the funniest shows on television. Although I think certain things should NEVER be joked about—particularly illness, medical procedures and, basically, rude things—this show definitely gets a pass. These doctors are very inappropriate!
SPECIAL, 10:30pm, Showtime
Pride Comedy Jam
This here's a stand-up special with one unifying theme: All the comics do relationship humor only. Haha, just kidding. Well, MAYBE they do, I don't know, but if they do, it'll probably involve same-sex relationships. It's a gay stand-up special, see. Why not?
SERIES PREMIERE, 10pm, TLC
NY Ink
NY Ink is a spin-off of TLC stalwart Miami Ink, except this one centers on Ami James as he fulfills his longtime dream of operating a tattoo parlor in NYC. Question: Isn't it true that anyone with a tattoo has spent time in the slammer, workin' on the ol' chain gang? I had heard that was true.
PLUS NEW EPISODES OF...
4th & Forever, 9 p.m., Current
Police Women of Broward County, 9 p.m., TLC
Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew, 10 p.m., MTV
Real Housewives of New York City, 10 p.m., Bravo
