TEN's new lifestyle travel program will tap into Australia's enthusiasm for road trips and exploring the vastness of the country.
Australian television personality Nicky Buckley will host the show with her husband Murray Bingham, supported by Mieke Buchan and Luke Darcy.
Making Tracks will see the team travel the length and breadth of Australia to uncover hidden secrets off the beaten track that often go unexplored by the casual tourist.
Stunning scenery, incredible nature and the wonderful diversity of people they meet all serve the purpose of promoting Australia as a valid tourist destination for its residents, who often traipse to Bali or Vanuatu for their summer breaks.
The first episode features Queensland, where Nicky and Murray take their three sons on an epic family trip from Hervey Bay to Noosa in a campervan -- on a tight budget.
In addition to showcasing some of Australia's "iconic destinations" and "quintessential Aussie gems", Making Tracks will show the audience how they can visit the featured holiday locations for an affordable price.
Each episode is filmed in a different state and will offer advice on staying at caravan and/or holiday parks and how to get the most out of travelling in a recreational vehicle (RV). Viewers will also be given the chance to win an RV of their own, with details of the competition promoted throughout the first episode.
Making Tracks premieres 4:30pm Saturday, October 23 on TEN.
