The younger half of the Olsen wonder twins has landed a role in the Showtime dramedy Weeds, says Reuters. Mary-Kate Olsen will appear in 10 of the 15 episodes of season three and play a church girl who becomes a love interest of Silas Botwin, played by Hunter Parrish.
Mary-Kate Olsen's appearance in Weeds is significant for a few reasons. It is her first major role without her twin sister, Ashley Olsen, and her first television appearance since she cohosted Saturday Night Live in 2004.
It's also a departure of material for the multimillionaire, who has typically been cast in kid-friendly fare. Weeds follows the life of suburban pot-dealer Nancy Botwin, played by Mary-Louise Parker.
Households were first introduced to the Olsen twins on Full House, where the nine-month-olds doubled up to play the show's too-cute baby, Michelle Tanner.
Also joining the cast of Weeds next season are Matthew Modine and Carrie Fisher. Season three begins this August.

dont really care much for any of the twins, just hope they wont jinx the series.
I'm willing to give her a chance. Who knows, she could be really good and help make the show even better than it already is. She's been through a lot of crappy stuff and hasn't done any acting stuff in a few years. Maybe getting back into it and doing it independently will be good for her.

It's about time they started taking acting roles that don't require them both.
