Dancing is big.
ABC has a huge hit with Dancing With the Stars, Fox had a minor success with the ice-dancing
Skating With Celebrities, and now MTV is going funk it all up with its own dance show,
Moves. Instead of well-known celebrities in the cast, the eight-episode series spotlights dancers working to make it big in showbiz.
The network is teaming with Jennifer Lopez on the reality series, and Lopez and other stars are expected to make cameos. Lopez, who will soon be seen in the Dallas movie, is no stranger to the dance floor--she got her start as a "fly girl" on the comedy show In Living Color.
"There are very few people who have attained the level of success Jennifer has. Across music, film, and more, she is recognized worldwide, and it all began with dance," said Lois Curren, executive vice president of entertainment and programming at MTV. "Now she will share her experience and knowledge with a new generation of dancers, and we'll find out if they have what it takes to stand up to her expectations."
"I started out as a dancer, and I know what that world is," added Lopez. "These dancers have dedicated their lives to this, and honestly, the glory is not always there. It's something they do only out of love. It's a tough life and I want to show that struggle."
Moves will follow six dancers as they attempt to sashay their way into the big time.
Staci is a former Pussycat Doll who wants to be dancing singer, just like Liza; Jersey has the noblest of dreams--she hopes to dance her way out of credit card debt; Nolan is the troubled one, barely able to keep his stuff together...but on the dance floor, he is like a god; Blake is a "wunderkind dance diva" who has the diva attitude to match; Kenny is a former baseball player who is either on the dance floor or bellying up to the bar; and Celestina is a "driven hip-hop hottie" who has her eye on the prizes that dance will bring her.
MTV will premiere Moves in late 2006.

Good to see more of her but another reality show???
Blake is from the FOX dancing show. He's a loser. If I were Jennifer, I'd be scared to try television again after the South Beach disaster. The woman's got moxy. I'll give her that.
Yeah, this show will last.
This show sounds quite jokes. I love the dancing shows; i find them really interesting to watch. Hopefully it is Blake from So You Think You Can Dance; he was amazing! I can't wait for the new season of that either

I wonder, is it the same Blake that was in season one of "So you think you can dance?" Cause the description certainly does apply. Dance diva with the attitude to match :p
I don't know how good of an idea this is....maybe it will turn out okay.
Wow I can wait for the show. I didn't see much of J.Lo since she got married. I hope this show is going to be cool.
